4. Installation Guide

This section provides a general overview of the installation process. Refer to the detailed diagrams included with your product for specific steps.

4.1. Compatibility

The ENERMAX LIQMAX V4 120mm AIO CPU Liquid Cooler supports the following CPU sockets:

  • Intel: LGA 1851, LGA 1700, LGA 1200, LGA 115X (1150, 1151, 1155, 1156)
  • AMD: AM5, AM4

4.2. General Installation Steps

  1. Prepare Motherboard: Install the appropriate backplate and standoffs for your CPU socket (Intel or AMD).
  2. Apply Thermal Paste: Apply a thin, even layer of thermal paste to the center of your CPU's integrated heat spreader (IHS).
  3. Mount Water Block: Carefully place the CPU water block onto the CPU, aligning it with the standoffs. Secure it with the provided thumb screws or mounting brackets.
  4. Mount Radiator: Install the radiator and pre-installed fan(s) into an available fan mount location in your PC case. Ensure adequate airflow.
  5. Connect Cables:
    • Connect the pump power cable to the CPU_FAN or AIO_PUMP header on your motherboard.
    • Connect the fan power cable(s) to available fan headers on your motherboard.
    • Connect the USB cable from the water block to an available internal USB 2.0 header on your motherboard for digital display functionality and software control.
  6. Cable Management: Route cables neatly to avoid interference with other components and improve airflow.

5. Operation

5.1. Digital Display

Upon system startup, the digital display on the CPU water block will activate, showing real-time CPU/GPU temperatures and fan speeds. The display can be rotated manually to suit your preferred orientation.
