Maintenance

Cleaning

Regularly clean your watch with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, which can damage the watch case or strap.

Water Resistance

Your Timex TW5M28800 watch is water-resistant up to 100 meters (10 ATM). This means it is suitable for showering, swimming, and snorkeling. However, it is not recommended for scuba diving. Do not operate buttons while the watch is submerged in water.

Battery Replacement

The watch uses a CR2032 battery. When the display dims or functions become erratic, it may be time to replace the battery. It is recommended to have battery replacement performed by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and maintain water resistance.

Troubleshooting Guide

  • Display is blank or dim: The battery may be low or depleted. Replace the battery.
  • Time is incorrect: Re-enter the time and date settings as described in the 'Setting Time and Date' section.
  • Buttons are unresponsive: Ensure the watch is not in a locked mode (if applicable, consult specific model instructions for lock features). If issues persist, a battery replacement might resolve it.
  • Water inside the watch: Immediately take the watch to a qualified service center. Do not attempt to open it yourself, as this will void the warranty.
