Controls and Display:
- START/STOP Button: Large button on top for initiating and pausing timing.

4. Setup
Battery Installation:
The dretec Learning Timer requires 2 AAA batteries (included). To install or replace batteries:
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the timer.
- Slide open the battery cover.
- Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery cover securely.
Note: Replacing batteries may reset the clock and day count settings. You will need to re-enter these settings after battery replacement.
5. Operating Instructions
Use the MODE switch on the left side of the timer to cycle through the different functions: Clock, Timer (Count-Down), Stopwatch (Count-Up), and Day Count.

5.1. Setting the Clock
- Slide the MODE switch until the current time is displayed (e.g., HH:MM:SS).
- Press and hold the SET button until the hour digits begin to flash.
- Use the UP (HOUR) and DOWN (MIN) buttons to adjust the hour.
- Press SET again to move to the minute setting, then use UP/DOWN to adjust.
- Press SET a third time to move to the second setting, then use UP/DOWN to adjust.
- Press SET one last time to confirm and exit setting mode.
5.2. Timer Function (Count-Down)
This mode is ideal for setting specific study or task durations.

- Slide the MODE switch to the Timer mode (usually indicated by 'T' or a countdown display).
- To set the countdown time, press the HOUR, MIN, and SEC buttons to input your desired duration.
- Press the large START/STOP button to begin the countdown. The red indicator light will flash.
- To pause the countdown, press the START/STOP button again. Press it once more to resume.
- When the time reaches zero, the alarm will sound, and the indicator light will flash.
- To stop the alarm, press the START/STOP button.
- To reset the timer to the last set time, press the MIN and SEC buttons simultaneously. To reset to zero, press MIN and SEC simultaneously while the timer is stopped and showing the last set time.
5.3. Stopwatch Function (Count-Up)
Use this mode to measure elapsed time, accurate to 1/100 of a second.
- Slide the MODE switch to the Stopwatch mode (usually indicated by 'S' or a count-up display).
- Ensure the display shows '00:00:00'. If not, press the MIN and SEC buttons simultaneously to reset.
- Press the large START/STOP button to begin counting up.
- To pause the stopwatch, press the START/STOP button again. Press it once more to resume.
- To reset the stopwatch to zero, press the MIN and SEC buttons simultaneously while the stopwatch is paused.
5.4. Day Count Function
Track the number of days remaining until an important event.

- Slide the MODE switch to the Day Count mode (usually indicated by 'D' or a date display).
- Press and hold the SET button until the date digits begin to flash.
- Use the UP (HOUR) and DOWN (MIN) buttons to adjust the month and day of your target date.
- Press SET to confirm each part of the date.
- The display will then show the number of days remaining until your set target date.
5.5. Sound and Lock Settings
Customize your timer's notifications and prevent accidental button presses.

- Alarm Sound Adjustment: On the right side of the timer, locate the sound switch. Slide it to select between a 1-second beep, a 15-second beep, or silent mode.
- Button Lock Function: On the right side, locate the lock switch. Slide it to the 'lock' position to disable all buttons, preventing unintended changes or operations, especially when carrying the timer. Slide it back to 'unlock' to enable button functionality.
6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the timer with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse in water.
- Battery Care: Replace batteries when the display dims or functions become erratic. Remove batteries if the timer will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
