Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials and labels from the coffee maker.
- Initial Cleaning: Wash the carafe and brew basket in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a damp cloth.
- First Use Cycle: Before brewing coffee for the first time, run a full cycle with only water to clean the internal components. Fill the water reservoir to the 12-cup mark with fresh water, place the empty carafe on the warming plate, and press the On/Off button. Discard the water after the cycle is complete.
- Set Clock: Plug in the coffee maker. The digital display will flash. Use the 'H' (Hour) and 'M' (Minute) buttons to set the current time.

Operating Instructions
- Add Water: Open the top lid and fill the water reservoir with fresh, cold water using the carafe. Refer to the water level window on the side for accurate measurements. Do not exceed the 12-cup maximum fill line.
- Add Coffee Grounds: Place a basket-style paper filter into the removable brew basket. Add your desired amount of ground coffee. For best results, follow coffee packaging recommendations. Close the top lid securely.
- Place Carafe: Ensure the empty glass carafe is properly seated on the warming plate.
- Select Brew Option: Press the 'Brew Options' button to cycle through Regular, Bold, or 1-4 Cups. Select the desired strength or quantity.
- Start Brewing: Press the 'I/O' (On/Off) button to begin the brewing cycle. The indicator light will illuminate.
- Auto Pause & Serve: If you wish to pour a cup before brewing is complete, carefully remove the carafe. The flow of coffee will temporarily stop. Return the carafe to the warming plate within 20 seconds to prevent overflow.
- Automatic Shutoff: The coffee maker will automatically turn off 2 hours after the brewing cycle is complete.
- Programmable Brewing: To set a delayed brew time, first set the current time. Then, press the 'PROG' button. Use the 'H' and 'M' buttons to set your desired brew start time. Press 'PROG' again to confirm. The 'PROG' indicator light will illuminate.

Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your coffee maker.
- Daily Cleaning: After each use, discard the used coffee filter and grounds. Wash the carafe and brew basket in warm, soapy water or place them in the dishwasher (top rack only). Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Descaling (Mineral Deposit Removal): Over time, mineral deposits (calcium) can build up in your coffee maker, affecting its performance. Descale your coffee maker every 1-3 months, or more frequently if you have hard water. To descale:
- Fill the carafe with one part white vinegar and two parts cold water.
- Pour the mixture into the water reservoir.
- Place the empty carafe on the warming plate.
- Press the On/Off button to start a brewing cycle.
- After approximately 30 seconds, press the On/Off button to turn off the coffee maker.
- Allow the mixture to soak for at least 30 minutes.
- Press the On/Off button to resume the brewing cycle and complete it.
- Discard the vinegar solution.
- Run 2-3 full cycles with fresh, cold water to rinse out any remaining vinegar taste or odor.

Troubleshooting
If your coffee maker is not functioning correctly, refer to the following common issues and solutions:
