Introduction
This manual provides essential instructions for the proper use and care of your Orient Symphony 3 Automatic / Hand-Winding Dress Watch, Model RA-AC0F06L10A. This timepiece features a Japanese automatic movement (Caliber F6722) with both automatic and manual-winding capabilities, as well as a hacking function for precise time setting. The watch is designed with a classic aesthetic, including a sunburst dial and an exhibition case back to view the intricate movement.

Setup
1. Unboxing and Initial Inspection
Carefully remove the watch from its packaging. Inspect the watch for any visible damage or irregularities. Ensure all protective films are removed from the crystal and case back.

2. Winding the Movement
Your Orient Symphony 3 watch is powered by an automatic movement, meaning it winds itself through the motion of your wrist. However, for initial startup or after a period of inactivity, manual winding is recommended.
- To manually wind, ensure the crown is in position 1 (normal operating position, pushed in).
- Rotate the crown clockwise approximately 30-40 times. This will provide sufficient power reserve to start the watch.
- Once worn, the automatic rotor will continue to wind the watch with your natural arm movements.
3. Setting the Time and Date
- Pull the crown out to position 3 (farthest out). The second hand will stop, indicating the hacking function is engaged.
- Rotate the crown to set the hour and minute hands. To avoid confusion between AM/PM for the date change, advance the hands past 12 o'clock. If the date changes, you are in the PM hours.
- Push the crown in to position 2 (middle position).
- Rotate the crown to set the date. Rotate until the correct date is displayed. Avoid setting the date between 9:00 PM and 3:00 AM, as this can interfere with the automatic date change mechanism.
- Pull the crown out to position 3 again.
- Set the exact time. When the time signal you are using reaches the desired second, push the crown back into position 1 (normal operating position). The second hand will resume movement.
Operating the Watch
Wearing the Watch
For optimal performance of the automatic movement, wear the watch regularly. The watch should be worn snugly but comfortably on your wrist.

Water Resistance
This watch has a water resistance rating of 30 meters (3 ATM). This means it is suitable for everyday use and can withstand splashes or brief immersion in water. It is not suitable for swimming, showering, or diving. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in to maintain water resistance.
Maintenance
Cleaning
To maintain the appearance of your watch, wipe the case and crystal with a soft, dry cloth. For the strap, follow specific care instructions based on its material (e.g., leather straps should avoid excessive moisture).
Storage
When not wearing the watch for extended periods, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and strong magnetic fields. If the watch stops, simply re-wind it manually and set the time before wearing.
Periodic Servicing
Like all mechanical watches, periodic servicing (typically every 3-5 years) by a qualified watchmaker is recommended to ensure long-term accuracy and performance.
Troubleshooting
- Watch not running: Ensure the watch is sufficiently wound. Manually wind the crown 30-40 times. If the watch has been inactive for a long time, it may take a few moments for the movement to restart after winding.
- Inaccurate time: Mechanical watches can vary slightly in accuracy. If the watch is consistently gaining or losing significant time, it may require adjustment by a professional watchmaker. Ensure it is adequately wound.
- Date not changing: Check if the time is set correctly for AM/PM. The date typically changes around midnight. Avoid setting the date manually between 9:00 PM and 3:00 AM.
- Condensation under crystal: This indicates a potential breach in water resistance. Stop using the watch immediately and seek professional service to prevent further damage.
