6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Power On/Off

Press the POWER button (usually integrated with the SOURCE knob or a dedicated button) to turn the unit on or off.

6.2 FM Radio Operation

  1. Rotate the SOURCE knob to select 'FM' mode.
  2. Use the Previous/Rewind or Next/Fast Forward buttons to manually tune to a desired frequency.
  3. To auto-scan for stations, press and hold the Previous/Rewind or Next/Fast Forward buttons.
  4. To save a preset, tune to the desired station, then press the PROGRAM button. Use the tuning buttons to select a preset number, then press PROGRAM again to confirm.

6.3 CD Player Operation

  1. Rotate the SOURCE knob to select 'CD' mode.
  2. Gently insert an audio CD into the CD Slot with the label side facing up. The unit will automatically load the CD.

  4. Playback will begin automatically. If not, press the Play/Pause button.
  5. Use the Previous/Rewind and Next/Fast Forward buttons to skip tracks.
  6. Press the REPEAT button to cycle through repeat modes (e.g., repeat one, repeat all).
  7. To eject the CD, press the EJECT button (usually located near the CD slot).

6.4 Bluetooth Operation

  1. Rotate the SOURCE knob to select 'Bluetooth' mode. The display will show 'PAIRING' or a similar indicator.
  2. On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Select 'Nakamichi Heritage 800' from the list of devices.
  4. Once paired, the unit will confirm the connection, and you can play audio from your device.

6.5 Audio In (AUX) Operation

  1. Connect a 3.5mm audio cable from the headphone jack or line-out of your external audio device to the AUX IN port on the rear of the Nakamichi Heritage 800.
  2. Rotate the SOURCE knob to select 'Audio In' or 'AUX' mode.
  3. Play audio from your external device. The sound will be output through the Heritage 800.
