3. Setup and Installation
The MOEN Adler faucet is designed for a 4-hole deck mount installation. It features pre-installed 3/8-inch water supply lines for simplified setup. A matching side sprayer is included.
3.1 Before You Begin
- Ensure all necessary parts are present: faucet assembly, side sprayer, mounting hardware, and gaskets.
- Gather required tools: adjustable wrench, screwdriver, plumber's putty or silicone sealant, flashlight, safety glasses.
- Turn off the main water supply to the kitchen sink.
- Clear the area under the sink for access.
3.2 Installation Steps
- Prepare the Sink: If replacing an old faucet, remove it and clean the sink surface thoroughly. Ensure the four mounting holes are clear.
- Install Faucet Body: Place the faucet base plate and faucet body into the main sink hole. Ensure the handle is positioned correctly.
- Secure Faucet: From underneath the sink, secure the faucet body using the provided mounting hardware (washer and mounting nut). Tighten firmly but do not overtighten.
- Install Side Sprayer: Insert the side sprayer base and sprayer hose into the designated sprayer hole. Secure it from underneath the sink with its mounting nut.
- Connect Water Supply Lines: Connect the pre-installed 3/8-inch supply lines from the faucet to the hot and cold water supply valves. Use an adjustable wrench to tighten connections, ensuring no leaks.
- Connect Sprayer Hose: Attach the sprayer hose to the dedicated port on the faucet's underside.
- Test for Leaks: Slowly turn on the main water supply. Check all connections for leaks. Run the faucet and sprayer for a few minutes to flush out any debris and check for proper operation.

4. Operating Instructions
The MOEN Adler faucet features a single-handle design for easy control of water flow and temperature.
4.1 Faucet Operation
- Turn On/Off: Lift the handle to turn on the water. Push the handle down to turn off the water.
- Adjust Water Flow: The further the handle is lifted, the greater the water flow.
- Adjust Temperature: Move the handle to the left for hot water and to the right for cold water.
4.2 Side Sprayer Operation
- Ensure the main faucet handle is in the "on" position.
- Press the lever or button on the side sprayer to divert water flow from the main spout to the sprayer.
- Release the lever or button to return water flow to the main spout.
5. Care and Maintenance
Proper care and maintenance will ensure the longevity and appearance of your MOEN Adler faucet.
- Cleaning: Clean the faucet regularly with a soft cloth and mild soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or scouring pads, as these can damage the chrome finish.
- Aerator Maintenance: If water flow decreases or becomes erratic, the aerator may be clogged. Unscrew the aerator from the end of the spout, clean any debris, and rinse thoroughly before reattaching.
- Leak Prevention: Periodically check all connections under the sink for any signs of leaks. Tighten connections if necessary, but do not overtighten.
