2. Safety Information

Before operating the compressor, read and understand all safety warnings and instructions. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury.

  • Ensure the compressor is placed on a stable, level surface.
  • Always operate in a well-ventilated area.
  • Do not exceed the maximum filling pressure of 300Bar/4500PSI/30MPA.
  • The compressor temperature should not exceed 85℃. Do not run for more than 45 minutes continuously without allowing it to cool.
  • Always connect the water cooling system and ensure water flow before starting the compressor.
  • Replace the oil cap with the breathing rod before operation.
  • Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as eye protection and hearing protection.
  • Keep children and unauthorized persons away from the operating compressor.
  • Ensure the electrical circuit can handle the compressor's current draw (a 20-amp circuit is recommended).

4. Setup and Initial Preparation

Careful preparation is crucial for safe and efficient operation.

4.1 Unpacking and Inspection

  1. Carefully remove the compressor and all accessories from the packaging.
  2. Inspect the outer packaging and the machine for any signs of damage incurred during transit. Report any damage to the supplier immediately.

4.2 Oil Filling and Breather Rod Installation

  1. Locate the oil cap on the compressor. Remove it.
  2. Install the provided breathing rod in place of the oil cap. This allows for proper ventilation during operation.
  3. Add compressor oil until the level reaches the red dot on the oil sight glass. Due to transportation restrictions, silicone oil is not included and must be prepared by the user.

4.3 Cooling System Setup

The compressor requires an external water cooling system for proper operation.

  1. Prepare an external bucket or container with cooling water.
  2. Connect the provided water pump to the water cooling system inlets/outlets on the compressor using the water hoses. Ensure all connections are secure and free of leaks.
  3. Place the water pump into the bucket of cooling water.
  4. Important: Do not start the machine without ensuring the cooling water system is properly set up and functioning.

4.4 Filter Connection

  1. Connect the blue oil-water filter along with the filling hose to the compressor's output.
  2. Ensure all connections are tight to prevent air leakage.

5. Operation

5.1 Initial Start-up and Break-in (Recommended)

For optimal longevity, a break-in period is recommended, especially for new compressors.

  1. After completing all setup steps (oil, cooling, filter), connect the compressor to a suitable power source (110V, 60Hz). Ensure the circuit is rated for at least 20 amps.
  2. With the bleed screw open and no tank connected, run the compressor for 5 minutes.
  3. Allow the compressor to cool completely.
  4. Repeat the 5-minute run and cool-down cycle.
  5. Run the compressor for 10 minutes straight with minimal resistance.
  6. After the break-in period, consider changing the oil as it may contain manufacturing residues.

5.2 Filling Procedure

  1. Connect the tank or device to be filled to the compressor's filling hose.
  2. Ensure the bleed screw on the filling hose is closed.
  3. Turn on the water pump to initiate water cooling.
  4. Turn on the compressor.
  5. Monitor the pressure gauge and the digital thermometer. The compressor will automatically stop when the set pressure is reached, or you can manually stop it using the power switch.
  6. Once the desired pressure is achieved, turn off the compressor.
  7. Turn off the water pump.
  8. Slowly open the bleed screw on the filling hose to release residual pressure before disconnecting the tank.
  9. Disconnect the filled tank.

5.3 Approximate Filling Times:

  • 0.5L tank from 0 to 4500psi: approximately 3 minutes.
  • 6.8L tank from 0 to 4500psi: approximately 45 minutes.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and performance of your compressor.

6.1 Oil Change

  • Change the compressor oil after the initial break-in period.
  • Subsequent oil changes should be performed regularly, depending on usage frequency. Using high-quality synthetic compressor oil is recommended for better performance and air quality.
  • To change oil, drain the old oil from the drain plug and refill with new oil to the red dot on the sight glass.

6.2 Cooling System

  • Regularly check the cooling water level and quality. Replace or replenish as needed.
  • Clean the water pump and hoses periodically to prevent blockages.
  • If operating in freezing temperatures, ensure the cooling system is drained or filled with an appropriate coolant mixture to prevent damage.

6.3 Air Filter

  • Inspect and replace the oil-water filter cartridge as needed to maintain air quality.
  • Consider adding an intake air drying cartridge to further improve air quality by removing moisture.

6.4 General Inspection

  • Periodically check all hoses, connections, and seals for wear, damage, or leaks. Replace any compromised components immediately.
  • Ensure the breathing rod is clear and not obstructed.
  • Clean the exterior of the compressor to prevent dust and debris buildup, especially around cooling vents.

7. Troubleshooting

This section addresses common issues you might encounter.

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Compressor does not startNo power; tripped circuit breaker; faulty switch.Check power connection; reset circuit breaker (ensure 20A circuit); inspect switch.
Oil leakageLoose fittings; damaged O-rings/gaskets; overfilling oil.Tighten all connections; replace O-rings/gaskets; ensure oil level is at the red dot.
Compressor overheats (above 85℃)Insufficient water cooling; blocked fan; prolonged operation.Ensure water pump is running and water level is adequate; clean fan vents; allow compressor to cool down between uses.
Slow inflation or low pressure outputAir leaks; clogged filter; worn components.Check all connections for leaks; replace air filter; inspect internal components for wear.
Excessive vibrationUneven surface; loose components.Place on a stable, level surface; check and tighten any loose bolts or parts. Consider vibration dampening pads.
Air smells burnt or unusualIncorrect oil type; oil burning due to high temperature.Use recommended synthetic compressor oil; ensure proper cooling to prevent overheating.
