- Handwashing
- Exposure to rain
- Washing face
- Light swimming
Important Note: While rated for 50M, it is recommended to avoid using the watch while swimming, surfing, or bathing in hot water, and do not press any buttons underwater. Exposure to hot water or steam can compromise the watch's seals.
6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the watch regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and sweat. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by drying.
- Avoid Chemicals: Do not expose the watch to strong chemicals, solvents, or detergents, as these can damage the case, strap, or seals.
- Temperature Extremes: Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures (very hot or very cold) for prolonged periods, as this can affect battery life and accuracy.
- Impact: While durable, avoid dropping the watch or subjecting it to strong impacts.
- Battery Replacement: When the display dims or functions become erratic, the battery may need replacement. This should ideally be done by a qualified watch technician to ensure water resistance is maintained.
7. Troubleshooting
- Watch not displaying time/functions: Check if the battery is depleted. If the display is blank or very dim, the battery may need replacement.
- Digital time is incorrect: Refer to Section 3.2 "Setting Digital Time, Date, and 12/24 Hour Format" and follow the steps carefully. Ensure you are in the correct setting mode.
- Analog time is incorrect: Refer to Section 3.1 "Setting Analog Time" and adjust the crown.
- Alarm sounds unexpectedly or cannot be turned off: Ensure you have followed the steps in Section 3.3 "Setting the Alarm" to activate/deactivate the alarm. Some users have reported difficulty in completely turning off the alarm function, only being able to change its set time. If the alarm continues to sound despite attempts to deactivate it, you may need to contact customer support.
- Water inside the watch: If moisture appears inside the watch, stop using it immediately and have it inspected by a professional. This indicates a breach in the water resistance.
