Before making coffee, prime the machine to fill the internal system with water and remove any air.
- Ensure the water tank is filled.
- Place a cup under the portafilter outlet (without coffee).
- Turn the control knob to the "Espresso" position. Water will flow out.
- Let approximately 100ml of water run through, then turn the knob to "Off".
- Repeat this process for the steam wand: turn the knob to "Steam" and open the steam valve for a few seconds, then close and turn the main knob to "Off".
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Making Espresso
- Ensure the water tank is filled and the machine is plugged in.
- Place the desired filter (single or double) into the portafilter.
- Using the coffee spoon, add ground espresso coffee to the filter. For a single shot, use one level spoon; for a double, use two. Lightly tamp the coffee.
- Attach the portafilter to the brewing head by aligning it and twisting it firmly to the right until it locks.
- Place one or two espresso cups on the drip tray, under the portafilter spouts. You can preheat cups on the warming plate.
- Turn the control knob to the "Espresso" position. The machine will start brewing.
- Once the desired amount of espresso is brewed (typically 25-30ml per shot), turn the control knob back to the "Off" position to stop the flow.
- Carefully remove the portafilter by twisting it to the left. Dispose of the used coffee grounds.

4.2 Using the Steam Wand for Milk Frothing
- After brewing espresso, or if starting fresh, ensure the water tank is filled.
- Turn the control knob to the "Steam" position. The machine will heat up to steam temperature. The indicator light will show when it's ready.
- Pour cold milk into a frothing pitcher. Do not fill more than one-third, as milk volume will increase.
- Position the steam wand just below the surface of the milk.
- Open the steam valve (usually a separate knob or lever on the side). Steam will be released.
- Move the pitcher up and down gently to create foam. Once the milk reaches the desired temperature and consistency, close the steam valve.
- Turn the main control knob back to "Off".
- Immediately wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth to prevent milk residue from drying.

5. Cleaning and Maintenance
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your espresso machine.
5.1 Daily Cleaning
- Portafilter and Filters: After each use, remove the portafilter, discard coffee grounds, and rinse the portafilter and filter under running water.
- Drip Tray: Empty and rinse the removable drip tray regularly.
- Steam Wand: Immediately after frothing milk, wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth. Purge a small amount of steam to clear any milk residue from the nozzle.
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth.
5.2 Descaling
Mineral deposits from water can build up over time, affecting machine performance. Descale your machine every 2-3 months, or more frequently if you have hard water.
- Use a commercial descaling solution suitable for espresso machines, following the manufacturer's instructions.
- Alternatively, you can use a solution of white vinegar and water (1 part vinegar to 2 parts water).
- Fill the water tank with the descaling solution.
- Run the solution through the espresso function until the tank is empty.
- Run the solution through the steam wand for a few seconds.
- Rinse the water tank and fill it with fresh water. Run several tanks of fresh water through both the espresso function and steam wand to thoroughly rinse the machine.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your espresso machine, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No coffee dispenses. | Water tank empty; machine not primed; coffee too finely ground or tamped too hard; clogged filter. | Fill water tank; prime the machine; use coarser grind or less pressure; clean filter. |
| Coffee is too weak. | Not enough coffee; coffee too coarsely ground; brewing too fast. | Add more coffee; use finer grind; ensure proper tamping. |
| No steam from wand. | Machine not heated to steam temperature; steam wand clogged; water tank empty. | Wait for steam indicator light; clean steam wand; fill water tank. |
| Water leaks from machine. | Water tank not seated correctly; portafilter not locked properly; drip tray full. | Reseat water tank; ensure portafilter is locked; empty drip tray. |
If the problem persists, please contact customer support.
