1. Product Overview

This manual provides instructions for the Smart Ink Remanufactured HP 65XL Black and Tri-Color ink cartridges. These cartridges are designed as a replacement for original HP 65XL cartridges and are compatible with various HP DeskJet and Envy series printers. Each package contains one black 65XL cartridge and one tri-color 65XL cartridge.

2. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to properly install your Smart Ink 65XL cartridges into your compatible HP printer.

1. Unpack the Cartridge: Carefully remove the new Smart Ink cartridge from its packaging.
2. Remove Protective Tape: Locate the pink protective tape on the cartridge. Gently pull this tape to remove it. Do not touch the copper electrical contacts or ink nozzles.





3. Open Printer Access Door: Open the ink cartridge access door on your HP printer. The print carriage will move to the center. Wait until it is idle and silent before proceeding.
4. Remove Old Cartridge: Gently press down on the old cartridge to release it, then pull it out of its slot.
5. Insert New Cartridge: Hold the new Smart Ink cartridge with the nozzles facing the printer and the contacts facing the rear. Slide the cartridge into its corresponding slot (black for black, tri-color for color) until it clicks firmly into place.



6. Close Access Door: Close the ink cartridge access door. Your printer may perform an alignment process.
