1. Introduction

This manual provides essential instructions for the safe and efficient operation, installation, and maintenance of your Dermalogic Towel Steamer 480. 2. Safety Information

  • This appliance is intended for professional spa and salon use only.

  • Do not operate the steamer without sufficient water in the reservoir. The low water level warning indicator will alert you.

3. Setup

3.1 Unpacking and Placement

  • Carefully remove the steamer from its packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage.
  • Place the unit on a sturdy, heat-resistant, and level surface. Ensure adequate clearance around the unit for ventilation.
  • Position the steamer near a water source for direct hook-up and a suitable electrical outlet.

3.2 Water Connection

The Dermalogic Towel Steamer 480 is designed for direct water line hook-up. Connect the water inlet to a potable water supply using appropriate plumbing fittings. Ensure all connections are secure and leak-free. The unit has a 4-gallon water storage capacity.

3.3 Initial Cleaning

Before first use, wipe down the interior and exterior surfaces with a damp cloth. Run a cycle with only water to clean the internal components. Dispose of this water before loading towels.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Filling the Water Reservoir

Ensure the water line is connected and the water supply is turned on. The steamer will automatically fill its 4-gallon reservoir. Monitor the water level indicator. The unit features a low water level warning indicator.

4.2 Loading Towels

  • Open the steamer doors. The unit has multiple racks for organizing towels.
  • Place clean, damp towels onto the racks. Do not overload the racks to allow for proper steam circulation. The steamer has a capacity for 480 standard-sized towels.
  • Close the doors securely.

4.3 Setting Temperature and Operation

  • Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
  • Turn the power switch to the 'ON' position. The 'POWER' indicator light will illuminate.
  • Adjust the temperature knob to your desired setting between 30°C and 85°C (90°F to 200°F). The 'HEATING' indicator light will turn on when the unit is actively heating.
  • Allow sufficient time for the towels to heat thoroughly. Heating time will vary based on the quantity and initial temperature of the towels.
  • The unit features an automatic shut-off for safety.

4.4 Removing Towels

Use heat-resistant gloves or tongs when removing hot towels to prevent burns.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Daily Cleaning

  • After each use, turn off and unplug the steamer. Allow it to cool completely.
  • Wipe down the interior and exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Empty any remaining water from the reservoir if the unit will not be used for an extended period.

5.2 Descaling

Mineral deposits can accumulate over time, affecting performance. Periodically descale the unit using a commercial descaling solution suitable for steam appliances, following the product's instructions. Rinse thoroughly after descaling.
