4. Setup
- Battery Installation: Open the battery compartment on the underside of the scale. Insert the 3 x AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment securely.
- Placement: Place the scale on a hard, flat, and level surface. Avoid soft or uneven surfaces that could affect accuracy.
- Initial Power On: Press the ON/OFF/ZERO button to turn on the scale. The display will show '8888' then '0' or '0g' when ready for use.

- Ensure the scale is on a flat surface and powered on. The display should show '0' or '0g'.
- Place the weighing bowl (if using) onto the scale platform. The display will show the weight of the bowl.
- Press the ON/OFF/ZERO button to reset the display to '0'. This is the 'Add & Weigh' or 'Tare' function.
- Carefully place the item(s) to be weighed into the bowl or directly onto the platform. The weight will be displayed.

5.2. Unit Conversion
Press the UNIT button to cycle through the available measurement units:

- Ounces (oz)
- Millilitres (ml) - for liquids (Aquatronic function)
- Fluid Ounces (fl.oz) - for liquids (Aquatronic function)
5.3. Aquatronic Function (Measuring Liquids)
