The BITIWEND Wireless Door Sensor Chime is designed to provide an alert when a door or window is opened. It features a wide operating range, multiple chime options, and adjustable volume levels, making it suitable for various environments such as homes, offices, and stores.

Setup
1. Initial Preparation
Before installation, ensure the sensor unit has its battery activated. Pull out the plastic insulation strip from the battery compartment of the sensor. Plug the receiver unit into a standard electrical outlet.
2. Adjust Volume & Choose Ringtone
On the receiver unit, press the 'Volume' button to cycle through 5 volume levels. Use the 'Up' and 'Down' buttons to select your preferred ringtone from the 58 available options.

3. Pairing the Sensor
To pair the sensor with the receiver, simultaneously press the 'Volume' and 'Down' buttons on the receiver. The LED indicator will flash. Quickly separate the two parts of the door sensor to complete the pairing process. A successful pairing will be indicated by a chime.
4. Installing the Sensor
Mount the two parts of the sensor on the door or window frame using the provided adhesive. Ensure the two parts are aligned and the gap between them does not exceed 0.4 inches (approximately 1 cm) when the door/window is closed. The sensor can be installed on various entry points, including doors for family members, windows for child safety, pet doors, and store entrances.

Operating Instructions
Once installed and paired, the system operates automatically. When the two parts of the magnetic sensor are separated (e.g., a door or window opens), the sensor sends a signal to the receiver. The receiver will then play the selected chime and illuminate its LED indicator.
Volume Levels and Chimes
The receiver offers 5 adjustable volume levels, ranging from 0dB to 110dB, allowing you to set the alert loudness according to your needs. There are 58 selectable ringtones, including standard 'Ding Dong', 'Welcome', 'Barking Dog', and various melodies.

Expansion System
The system is expandable, allowing you to add more sensors or receivers to cover multiple entry points or areas within your property. This creates a comprehensive alert system for enhanced monitoring.

Maintenance
Battery Replacement
The sensor unit is powered by a CR1632 battery. When the sensor's LED indicator no longer flashes or the signal becomes unreliable, it is time to replace the battery. Carefully open the sensor casing, remove the old battery, and insert a new CR1632 battery, ensuring correct polarity. After replacing the battery, it is recommended to press the metal tab of the battery slot to prevent subsequent battery loosening.

General Care
Keep the units clean and free from dust. Avoid exposing the units to extreme temperatures or direct moisture. For optimal performance, ensure the receiver is plugged into a stable power source.
Troubleshooting
- No Chime/Intermittent Chime:
- Check if the receiver is properly plugged into a working outlet.
- Ensure the sensor battery is correctly installed and not depleted. Replace if necessary.
- Verify that the sensor and receiver are paired. If not, follow the pairing instructions in the Setup section.
- Reduce the distance between the sensor and receiver, or remove any large obstructions that might interfere with the wireless signal. The maximum effective range is 600 feet, but this can be reduced by walls and other structures. - Sensor Not Triggering:
- Confirm that the two parts of the sensor are mounted correctly and the gap between them is within the specified 0.4-inch limit when the door/window is closed.
- Check for any physical damage to the sensor unit. - Chime Not Loud Enough:
- Adjust the volume level on the receiver using the 'Volume' button. There are 5 levels available.
- Relocate the receiver to a more central or open area where the sound can propagate better. - System Malfunction in Cold Temperatures:
- The sensor's battery performance can be affected by sub-zero temperatures. If installed on an exterior door in cold climates, the battery may temporarily cease functioning. Warming the battery may restore functionality. Consider indoor installation or a more robust solution for extreme cold.
Resetting the System
To reset the receiver, long press the 'Down' button for 10 seconds. This will reset the unit, and you will hear a chime indicating a successful reset. After a reset, you may need to re-pair the sensor.
