4. Installation and Wiring

Always Connect the Battery First!

Please read the complete installation instructions to familiarize yourself with the installation steps before proceeding.

Connecting Steps:

  1. Battery Connection: Connect the battery to the controller. Ensure correct polarity (+ to + and - to -).
  2. Solar Panel (PV array) Connection: Connect the solar panel to the controller. Ensure correct polarity.
  3. Load Connection: Connect the DC load to the controller. Ensure correct polarity.

Disconnection Steps (Reverse Order):

  1. Disconnect the Load.
  2. Disconnect the Solar Panel (PV array).
  3. Disconnect the Battery.

5. Operation

Setting Battery Type:

The controller supports various battery types. To set the battery type:

  1. Press the ENTER button and hold for 5 seconds under the battery voltage interface.
  2. Press the SELECT button when the battery type interface is flashing to choose your battery type (e.g., GEL, Sealed, Flooded, User, LiFePO4, Li(NiCoMn)O2).
  3. Press the ENTER button to confirm the battery type.

CAUTION: For 'User' battery type, refer to Chapter 3 of the full user manual for battery control voltage settings. Lithium battery parameters may require setting via a phone APP if the controller has a built-in Bluetooth module.

Setting Load Working Mode:

To set the load working mode:

  1. Press the ENTER button and hold for 5 seconds under the load mode interface.
  2. Press the SELECT button when the load mode interface is flashing to choose the desired mode (e.g., Light ON/OFF, Test mode, Manual mode).
  3. Press the ENTER button to confirm the load mode.

CAUTION: Light ON/OFF, Test mode, and Manual mode are set via Timer1. Timer2 will be disabled and display "2n".
