4. Operating Instructions

Operating the Sooprinse High Pressure Washer Gun involves selecting the correct nozzle and maintaining safe practices.

4.1 Nozzle Selection and Application

The five color-coded quick-connect nozzles provide different spray patterns for various cleaning tasks:

  • Red Nozzle (0°): A concentrated, high-impact stream for tough spots, cleaning high areas, or hard-to-reach crevices in sidewalks and driveways. Use with extreme caution.
  • Yellow Nozzle (15°): A narrow, powerful spray for intense cleaning of brick, concrete, and other hard surfaces with stubborn stains.
  • Green Nozzle (25°): A medium-width spray for general cleaning of wood, fences, painted surfaces, siding, and lawn mowers.
  • White Nozzle (40°): A wide, gentle spray for cleaning screens, windows, and delicate surfaces.
  • Black Nozzle (65°): A low-pressure, wide fan spray primarily used for applying detergents or soaps.

4.2 General Operation

  1. Ensure the pressure washer is connected to a water source and powered on according to its own instruction manual.
  2. Select the appropriate nozzle for your task and attach it securely to the gun.
  3. Point the gun away from yourself and others, then squeeze the trigger to begin spraying.
  4. The gun features a locking safety handle. To engage the lock, push the small lever located above the trigger forward. To disengage, pull the lever back. Always engage the safety lock when not actively spraying to prevent accidental discharge.
  5. Maintain a safe distance from the surface being cleaned to avoid damage. Adjust distance as needed for desired cleaning effect.
  6. When finished, release the trigger, engage the safety lock, and turn off the pressure washer.

5. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your pressure washer gun.

  • After each use, flush the gun with clean water to remove any chemical residues.
  • Inspect all connections and O-rings for wear or damage. Replace worn O-rings as needed to prevent leaks.
  • Clean the nozzle tips regularly to prevent blockages. A small wire or nozzle cleaning tool can be used to clear debris.
  • Store the pressure washer gun in a clean, dry place, protected from freezing temperatures.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your pressure washer gun, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • Low Pressure: Check if the nozzle is clogged. Ensure all connections are tight and there are no leaks in the hose or gun. Verify that your pressure washer is operating correctly and receiving adequate water supply.
  • Leaks: Inspect all threaded connections and quick-connect points. Replace any damaged O-rings or seals. Ensure the M22-14 connection is fully seated and tightened.
  • No Water Flow: Confirm that the water supply to your pressure washer is on and that the pressure washer itself is functioning. Check for blockages in the gun or hose.
  • Nozzle Not Spraying Correctly: Remove the nozzle and check for debris or blockages. Clean thoroughly before reattaching.
