Setup and Installation
1. Battery Installation
- Carefully open the main unit of the sensor.
- Insert the provided C battery into the battery compartment, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the main unit securely.
2. Mounting the Sensor
The sensor consists of two parts: a main unit and a smaller magnetic contact. These two parts must be mounted close to each other (within 1 cm) on a door or window frame, with one part on the fixed frame and the other on the moving part (door/window).
- Choose a Location: Select a clean, dry, and flat surface on your door or window frame. Ensure the two parts can be mounted parallel to each other and will separate when the door/window opens.
- Adhesive Tape Installation:
- Clean the mounting surface thoroughly.
- Peel off the protective backing from the double-sided adhesive tape.
- Apply the tape to the back of both the main sensor unit and the magnetic contact.
- Press firmly onto the desired mounting location for at least 30 seconds.
- Screw Installation (Optional): For a more permanent installation, use the provided screws.
- Open the main unit and magnetic contact to expose the screw holes.
- Mark the screw positions on the mounting surface.
- Drill pilot holes if necessary.
- Secure both parts with the screws.

3. Pairing with a Trust Smart Home Receiver/Control Station
To utilize the sensor's automation features, it must be paired with a compatible Trust Smart Home receiver or control station (sold separately). Refer to the manual of your specific receiver/control station for detailed pairing instructions. Generally, the process involves:
- Put your Trust Smart Home receiver or control station into pairing mode.
- Activate the ACST-606 sensor by opening and closing the door/window it's installed on. This sends a signal to the receiver.
- Confirm successful pairing on your receiver/control station.
- Configure the desired actions (e.g., turn on lights, activate an alarm) within your Trust Smart Home system's application or settings.
Operating the Sensor
Once installed and paired, the ACST-606 sensor operates automatically:
- Detection: When the door or window is opened, the main unit and magnetic contact separate, triggering the sensor. When closed, they come back together, indicating closure.
- Triggered Actions: Based on your configuration in the Trust Smart Home system, the sensor will send a signal to activate connected devices (e.g., turn on a light, sound an alarm, send a notification).
- Energy Saving Timer: If configured, connected lights or appliances can be set to automatically turn off after 1, 5, or 10 minutes of the door/window being closed, helping to conserve energy.
Maintenance
Battery Replacement
The sensor features a low battery indicator. When the battery is low, the sensor may stop functioning reliably or your Trust Smart Home system may notify you. To replace the battery:
- Carefully open the main unit of the sensor.
- Remove the old C battery.
- Insert a new C battery, ensuring correct polarity.
- Close the main unit securely.
- Dispose of the old battery responsibly according to local regulations.
