Ensure all components are present before proceeding with setup. The standard package includes:

Connecting the Phone:

  1. Placement: Place the SoundStation IP 6000 in the center of your conference table for optimal microphone pickup. Ensure it is within reach of an Ethernet port.
  2. Connect Ethernet Cable: Locate the Ethernet port on the underside of the phone. Connect one end of the provided Ethernet cable to this port and the other end to a network switch or router that supports Power over Ethernet (PoE).

  3. Power On: If using PoE, the phone will power on automatically once connected to a PoE-enabled port. If not using PoE, connect an optional external power supply (sold separately) to the phone's power input port and then to a wall outlet.
  4. Network Configuration: The phone will attempt to obtain an IP address via DHCP. Once connected, the display will show network status. If your network requires static IP configuration, refer to the advanced settings in the operating instructions.

Operating Instructions

Making a Call:

  1. Dialing: Use the numeric keypad to enter the desired phone number.
  2. Initiate Call: Press the Call button (green phone icon) to place the call.
  3. Ending Call: Press the End Call button (red phone icon) to disconnect.

Answering a Call:

When the phone rings, press the Call button (green phone icon) to answer.

Using the Display and Menu:

Volume Control:

Use the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons (located next to the keypad) to adjust the speaker volume during a call or the ringer volume when idle.

Muting the Microphones:

Press the Mute button (microphone icon) to mute or unmute the microphones. The button will illuminate when muted.
