5. Setup

5.1 Charging the Controller

Before first use, fully charge the controller. Connect the supplied USB Type-C cable to the controller's USB-C port and the other end to a DC 5V USB adapter (e.g., phone charger, Nintendo Switch dock, computer USB port). A full charge typically takes approximately 2 hours. The LED indicator on the controller will show charging status and turn off when fully charged.

5.2 Pairing with Nintendo Switch

  1. From the Nintendo Switch HOME Menu, select Controllers, then Change Grip/Order.
  2. While on the "Change Grip/Order" screen, press and hold the B button and the Home button simultaneously on the Sunwaytek H510 controller for 3-5 seconds until the player LEDs begin to flash.
  3. The controller will pair with the Nintendo Switch, and the player LED(s) will light up solid once connected.
  4. To reconnect, simply press the Home button on the controller.

5.3 Pairing with PC (Windows/Steam)

The controller supports both wired and wireless (Bluetooth) connection to PC.

Wired Connection:

  • Connect the controller to your PC using the USB Type-C cable. The PC should automatically detect and install the necessary drivers.

Bluetooth Connection:

  1. Ensure your PC has Bluetooth enabled.
  2. Go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices.
  3. Select Add Bluetooth or other device > Bluetooth.
  4. On the controller, press and hold the Home button and the X button simultaneously for 3-5 seconds until the player LEDs begin to flash rapidly.
  5. Select "Sunwaytek H510" or similar from the list of available devices on your PC.
  6. Once paired, the player LED(s) on the controller will light up solid.

5.4 Pairing with Android/iOS/Linux

For Android, iOS, and Linux devices, the controller connects via Bluetooth.

  1. Enable Bluetooth on your device (phone, tablet, computer).
  2. Go to your device's Bluetooth settings to scan for new devices.
  3. On the controller, press and hold the Home button and the A button simultaneously for 3-5 seconds until the player LEDs begin to flash rapidly.
  4. Select "Sunwaytek H510" or similar from the list of available devices.
  5. Once paired, the player LED(s) on the controller will light up solid.

6. Operating the Controller

Once connected, the Sunwaytek H510 [V2] functions as a standard game controller. Its mechanical ABXY buttons provide a distinct, responsive feel, while the ALPS thumbsticks ensure precise movement and aiming. The arcade stick D-pad is particularly beneficial for games requiring accurate directional inputs.

  • Power On/Off: Press the Home button to power on. To power off, hold the Home button for 5 seconds, or it will automatically power off after 5 minutes of inactivity when disconnected.
  • Rumble/Vibration: The controller features standard vibrators for haptic feedback during gameplay.
  • Gyro/Motion Control: Supported on compatible platforms like Nintendo Switch.
  • Turbo Function: Some platforms may support a turbo function. Refer to specific game or platform settings for activation.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the controller. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Storage: Store the controller in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

8. Troubleshooting
