Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your LASTBUS system, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Camera Cleaning: Regularly clean the camera lenses with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt, dust, or water spots that may obstruct the view. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • Monitor Cleaning: Wipe the monitor screen with a soft, dry, anti-static cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners directly on the screen.
  • Cable Inspection: Periodically check all power cords and connections for any signs of wear, damage, or loose connections. Secure any loose wiring.
  • Waterproof Integrity: Although the cameras are IP69 waterproof, ensure that all connections to the camera are properly sealed and protected from direct water exposure to prevent moisture ingress.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your LASTBUS system, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • No Signal/Fuzzy Screen:
    • Ensure both the camera and monitor are powered on.
    • Check all power connections for looseness or damage.
    • Verify that the camera and monitor are within effective wireless range. Large metal objects or other electronic devices can cause interference.
    • Ensure the camera's antenna is securely attached and positioned for optimal signal reception.
    • If multiple cameras are connected, try switching channels on the monitor.
  • No Power to Monitor:
    • Check if the cigarette lighter adapter is firmly seated in the socket.
    • Ensure the vehicle's ignition is on (if the cigarette lighter socket is ignition-controlled).
    • Verify the on/off button on the adapter is pressed to the 'on' position.
    • Check the vehicle's fuse for the cigarette lighter socket.
  • Poor Image Quality:
    • Clean the camera lens.
    • Adjust the monitor's brightness, contrast, and color settings via the menu.
    • Ensure the camera is securely mounted and not vibrating excessively.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, please contact customer support.
