4.1 Water Resistance

Your Casio W218H watch is water resistant to 50 meters (165 feet). This means it is suitable for short periods of recreational swimming, showering, and washing hands. It is not suitable for diving or snorkeling. Avoid operating buttons while the watch is wet or submerged to prevent water ingress.

4.2 Battery Life

The watch is powered by a product-specific battery designed to last approximately 7 years under normal use. When the display becomes dim or functions become erratic, it may be time to replace the battery. Battery replacement should be performed by a qualified technician.

4.3 Cleaning

Wipe the watch with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a soft cloth dampened with water and a mild neutral detergent, then wipe dry. Avoid using volatile agents like thinner or benzine, as they may damage the resin components.

5. Troubleshooting

  • Incorrect Time/Date: Ensure the time and date are set correctly as per Section 2.1. If the issue persists after resetting, the battery may be low.
  • Display is Dim or Blank: This typically indicates a low battery. Replace the battery promptly.
  • Buttons Not Responding: Check if the watch is wet. If so, dry it thoroughly. If the issue continues, the watch may require servicing.
  • Alarm Not Sounding: Verify that the alarm is activated in Alarm Mode (Section 3.2). Check the volume settings if applicable (though this model typically has a fixed alarm tone).
