2. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your new WANDVAC:

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  2. Assemble Charging Dock: Place the charging dock on a flat, stable surface near a power outlet.
  3. Charge Battery: Insert the handheld vacuum unit into the charging dock. Connect the power cord to the charging dock and plug it into a wall outlet. The LED indicator light on the vacuum will illuminate to show charging status. A full charge takes approximately 150 minutes.
  4. Initial Charge: For optimal performance, fully charge the battery before first use.

3. Operating Instructions

The Shark WANDVAC is designed for quick and efficient cleaning:

  • Power On/Off: Press the power button located on the handle to turn the vacuum on or off. The LED indicator will show battery life.

4. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance of your WANDVAC:

  • Emptying the Dust Cup:

    The dust cup should be emptied regularly, especially after picking up fine dust or pet hair. To empty, hold the vacuum over a trash receptacle and press the one-touch empty button. The dust cup will open, releasing debris without needing to touch it.

  • Cleaning the Filter:

    The washable fabric filter should be cleaned frequently to maintain strong suction. Remove the filter from the dust cup. Tap off loose dirt. For a deeper clean, rinse the filter with water and allow it to air dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinserting. Do not operate the vacuum with a wet filter.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Shark WV201 WANDVAC, try the following:
