2. Important Safety Instructions

  • Do not use if the throw is wet.
  • Never use pins or other metallic objects with this appliance.

  • Do not use with adjustable beds.
  • Do not tuck in, fold, or bunch the heated throw. Ensure it lies flat during use.

5. Operating Instructions

The Sunbeam Heated Throw Blanket is designed for ease of use with a simple control unit.

5.1 Powering On and Adjusting Heat

  1. Turn On: Press the power button on the control unit. The indicator light will illuminate.
  2. Select Heat Setting: Press the heat setting button (labeled "High", "Med", "Low") to cycle through the three available heat levels. Choose the setting that provides your desired warmth.

5.2 Automatic Shut-Off

For safety and energy conservation, the heated throw is equipped with a 3-hour automatic shut-off feature. After approximately 3 hours of continuous operation, the throw will automatically turn off. To resume heating, simply press the power button again.

6. Maintenance and Care

Proper care will ensure the longevity and performance of your heated throw. Always follow these instructions carefully.

6.1 Washing Instructions

  1. Disconnect: Ensure the heated throw is unplugged from the wall outlet and the control unit is detached from the throw.
  2. Pre-soak (Optional): For best results, pre-soak the throw for 15 minutes in mild soap and cold water.
  3. Machine Wash: Machine wash on the "delicate" or "gentle" cycle in cold water (maximum 30°C / 86°F). Use a small amount of mild, non-bleach detergent. Do not use bleach.
  4. Rinse: Rinse on the "normal" cycle.
  5. Machine Dry: Tumble dry on low heat for 5-10 minutes. Remove while still damp and air dry over a clothesline or shower rod. Do not use commercial dryers.
  6. Air Dry: Ensure the throw is completely dry before reconnecting the control unit and plugging it in.

6.2 Storage

7. Troubleshooting
