3. Operating Instructions

3.1. Charging Devices

To charge your USB-C enabled device:

  1. Ensure the USB-A end of the cable is connected to a power source (e.g., wall charger, power bank, computer USB-A port).
  2. Connect the USB-C end to your device.
  3. The device should begin charging automatically. The cable supports up to 3A charging output.

3.2. Data Transfer

To transfer data between your USB-C device and a USB-A host device:

  1. Connect the USB-C end to your device (e.g., smartphone, tablet).
  2. Connect the USB-A end to a USB 3.0 compatible port on your computer or other host device.
  3. Your computer should recognize the connected device. Follow your operating system's instructions for accessing and transferring files.
  4. The cable supports data transfer speeds up to 5 Gbps (USB 3.0 SuperSpeed).

4. Maintenance

Proper care will extend the life of your C2G USB 3.0 cable:

  • Storage: Store the cable in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Avoid tightly coiling or bending the cable at sharp angles.
  • Cleaning: Disconnect the cable from all devices before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the cable and connectors. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
  • Handling: Always grasp the connector housing when plugging or unplugging the cable. Avoid pulling directly on the cable itself, as this can damage the internal wires.
  • Inspection: Periodically inspect the cable and connectors for any signs of damage, such as fraying, cuts, or bent pins. Discontinue use if damage is observed.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your C2G USB 3.0 cable, refer to the following common solutions:

  • Device Not Charging:
    • Ensure both ends of the cable are securely connected.
    • Verify that the power source (wall adapter, computer port) is functional.
    • Try using a different USB-A port or power adapter.
    • Test the cable with another USB-C device if available.
  • Data Transfer Not Working / Slow Transfer Speeds:
    • Confirm both ends of the cable are fully inserted.
    • Ensure the USB-A port on your computer supports USB 3.0 (often indicated by a blue interior or SS logo). Connecting to a USB 2.0 port will result in slower speeds.
    • Restart both the connected device and the computer.
    • Check your device's settings to ensure it's configured for data transfer (e.g., "File Transfer" mode on Android phones).
  • Intermittent Connection:
    • Check for any physical damage to the cable or connectors.
    • Ensure the ports on your devices are clean and free of debris.
    • Avoid excessive bending or tension on the cable during use.
