2. Product Overview
The Bahco BCL33IW2 is an 18V 1/2" high-performance brushless impact gun designed for various tightening and loosening applications, particularly suitable for workshop use such as wheel bolt applications. 3. Setup
3.1 Battery Installation
- Ensure the impact gun is switched off.
- Align the battery pack with the battery port at the base of the tool handle.
- Slide the battery pack into the port until it clicks securely into place.
- To remove, press the battery release button and slide the battery pack out.
3.2 Attaching Sockets
- Ensure the impact gun is switched off and the battery is removed for safety.
- Select the appropriate 1/2" drive impact-rated socket for your application.
- Push the socket firmly onto the 1/2" square drive anvil until it is securely seated by the retaining ring.
- To remove, pull the socket off the anvil.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Powering On/Off
The tool is powered on by pressing the trigger switch and powered off by releasing it. The progressive trigger allows for variable speed control based on how far it is pressed.
4.2 Speed/Torque Regulation
The BCL33IW2 features two speed/torque settings. Use the speed selector switch, typically located near the trigger, to choose between the two positions:
- Position 1 (Lower Speed/Torque): Ideal for initial tightening of fasteners, such as approaching wheel bolts to approximately 105 Nm, or for applications requiring less power and more control.
- Position 2 (Higher Speed/Torque): For maximum power and faster removal or tightening of stubborn fasteners.
4.3 Tightening and Loosening (Forward/Reverse)
The direction of rotation is controlled by a one-handed switch, usually located above the trigger. Push the switch to the left for forward rotation (tightening) and to the right for reverse rotation (loosening).

4.4 LED Battery Level Indicator
The tool is equipped with an LED indicator that displays the remaining battery charge. Monitor this indicator to ensure sufficient power for your task and to know when to recharge the battery.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
- Always disconnect the battery pack before cleaning.
- Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe down the exterior of the tool. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Keep the ventilation openings clear of dust and debris to prevent overheating. Use compressed air if necessary.
5.2 Storage
- Store the impact gun in a clean, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Remove the battery pack from the tool before storing for extended periods.
- Store batteries in a cool, dry place, partially charged if possible, to prolong their lifespan.
