  2. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash the drying trays and lid in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Wipe the base unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the base unit in water.
  3. Placement: Place the dehydrator on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from water sources and other heat-generating appliances. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
  4. Assembly: Place the desired number of drying trays onto the base unit. Ensure they are stacked correctly and securely. Place the lid on top of the uppermost tray.

5.3 Drying Process

  1. Once trays are loaded and stacked, place the lid on top.
  2. Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.
  3. Turn the appliance ON using the switch on the base unit. The dehydrator operates at 250W, providing efficient and rapid drying.
  4. The dehydrator's air recirculation system ensures uniform heat distribution across all trays, promoting consistent drying.
  5. Drying times vary depending on the type of food, thickness, moisture content, and ambient humidity. It is recommended to check the food periodically.
  6. To ensure even drying, you may rotate the trays or rearrange food items every few hours.
  7. Food is fully dehydrated when it is pliable but not sticky, or brittle and breaks easily (e.g., for chips).
  8. Once drying is complete, turn the appliance OFF and unplug it from the outlet. Allow the food to cool completely before storing.

  2. Trays and Lid: The drying trays and lid are dishwasher safe. Alternatively, they can be washed by hand in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before storing or reassembling.
  3. Base Unit: Wipe the exterior of the base unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scourers. Never immerse the base unit in water or any other liquid.
  4. Storage: Store the clean and dry dehydrator in a cool, dry place.
