Appliance Description
The MPM MKR-03 food slicer is a kitchen appliance designed for slicing various foods. It features a sharp, circular cutting blade and a mechanism for adjusting slice thickness.
Diagram Description: The appliance consists of the following main parts:
- 1. Slicer housing: The main body of the slicer containing the motor and controls.
- 2. Slicer platform: The base onto which the food carriage moves.
- 3. Cutter disc with corrugated blade: The sharp, rotating blade used for slicing.
- 4. Cutter blade installation knob: A knob used to attach or detach the blade for cleaning.
- 5. Food slider (carriage): A movable platform that holds the food and slides it towards the blade.
- 6. Food press (pusher): A component that holds the food securely against the blade while slicing.
- 7. Power switch: The button used to turn the appliance on and off.
- 8. Rotating speed selector: A control to adjust the speed of the cutting blade.
- 9. Slicing thickness dial: A knob used to set the desired thickness of the slices, typically from 0 to 15 mm.
Before First Use
- Unpack the appliance carefully. Remove all stickers, plastic bags, filling materials, and transport locks.
- Clean the appliance according to the instructions in the "Cleaning and Maintenance" section.
- Ensure that your home's power supply parameters match the specifications indicated on the appliance's nameplate.
- Unfold the slicer platform (2). Place the food slider (5) on top of the platform. Ensure the four protruding parts on the bottom of the slider fit into the corresponding notches on the platform to allow smooth movement. Install the food press (6) onto the slider.
Using the Appliance
- Place the prepared slicer on a firm, dry, stable, even, and horizontal surface. Ensure there is sufficient space around the appliance for comfortable operation.
- Set the desired slicing thickness using the slicing thickness dial (9). The set thickness in millimeters can be read from the scale located on the upper part of the slicer.
- To prevent food from sticking to the blade and to facilitate easier slicing, moisten the cutter disc with a damp cloth.
- Connect the appliance to the mains power supply.
- Place the food to be sliced onto the moving slider (5), between the cutter blade (3) and the food press (6).
- Use the rotating speed selector (8) to choose the appropriate speed for the cutter disc:
- "0" - slicer off
- "1" - low speed
- "2" - medium speed
- "3" - high speed
- Turn on the slicer using the power switch (7). Press and hold the front end of the switch, after first sliding the safety lock in the middle forward. Releasing your hand from the switch will stop the slicer.
- Move the food slider (5) forward and backward, simultaneously pressing the food against the blade using the food press (6).
- IMPORTANT: Always use the food press (6) when cutting small pieces of food.
- IMPORTANT: Fresh bread can be difficult to cut. Move bread slices away as they are cut. Never cut hot bread.
