4. Setup
Your Stanley Digital Tire Pressure Gauge comes with batteries pre-installed, making it ready for immediate use. No initial setup is required beyond familiarizing yourself with the device.
5. Operating Instructions
Follow these steps to accurately measure your tire pressure:
- Prepare the Tire: Ensure the tire is cool (driven less than a mile) for the most accurate reading. Remove the valve cap from the tire stem.
- Activate the Gauge: Press the trigger button on the gauge to turn it on. The display will show '0.0' or the last measured unit.
- Select Measurement Unit (Optional): Repeatedly press the trigger button to cycle through the available measurement units (PSI, BAR, KGFCM2, KPA) until your desired unit is displayed. The gauge will remember the last selected unit.
- Position the Gauge: Firmly press the nozzle of the gauge straight onto the tire valve stem. You may hear a slight hiss of air; this is normal. Ensure a tight seal to prevent air leakage. The integrated LED will assist in dark conditions.
- Read the Pressure: Hold the gauge in place until the digital display shows a stable reading.
- Remove and Repeat: Remove the gauge from the valve stem. The reading will remain on the display for a few seconds. Replace the valve cap. Repeat for all other tires, including the spare if applicable.
- Turn Off: To turn off the gauge, press and hold the trigger button until the display turns off. If you forget, the device will automatically shut off after a period of inactivity to conserve battery life.

6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the gauge with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water.
- Storage: Store the gauge in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Battery Replacement: If the display becomes dim or the gauge does not turn on, replace the batteries. Refer to the battery compartment for specific battery type and replacement instructions.
7. Troubleshooting
- Gauge does not turn on or display is dim:
- Check if batteries are correctly inserted.
- Replace batteries with new ones.
- Inaccurate readings or air leakage during measurement:
- Ensure the gauge nozzle is pressed firmly and squarely onto the tire valve stem to create a tight seal.
- Check the tire valve stem for any damage or debris that might prevent a proper seal.
- Verify that the gauge nozzle is clean and free of obstructions.
- Light keeps blinking and gauge does not start:
- This may indicate low battery power. Replace the batteries.
- If the issue persists after battery replacement, contact customer support.
