Setup and Installation
1. Mounting the Speakers
- Attach the mounting clamps to the speaker unit using the provided screws. Ensure the rubber inserts are used to prevent scratching and provide a secure fit.
- Select the appropriate rubber inserts for your handlebar size (7/8" to 1.25").
- Position the speaker unit on your motorcycle's handlebars. Use the extension brackets if additional clearance or positioning is required.
- Securely tighten the mounting clamps to the handlebars. Do not overtighten.

2. Wiring the System
- Connect the power cord to the speaker unit.
- Route the power cord to your vehicle's 12V battery.
- Connect the red wire to the positive (+) terminal of the battery and the black wire to the negative (-) terminal.
- Ensure all connections are secure. The audio wiring should not be close to high-voltage components or spark plugs.

Operating Instructions
1. Power On/Off
Press and hold the power button on the speaker unit to turn the system on or off.
2. Bluetooth Pairing
- Ensure the speaker is powered on and in Bluetooth mode (indicated by a specific light or display).
- On your mobile device, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
- Select "GoHawk" from the list to pair. A confirmation tone will sound upon successful pairing.
- Enjoy seamless wireless streaming up to 50 feet.
3. FM Radio
Switch to FM Radio mode using the mode button. Use the track skip buttons to scan for stations. The system will automatically save available stations.
4. AUX Input
Connect wired devices (e.g., MP3 players, smartphones) using the provided 3.5mm AUX cable. Switch to AUX mode using the mode button.
5. USB Playback
Insert a USB flash drive containing music files into the USB port. The system supports playback of stored music files. (Note: Does not support device charging).
6. On-Speaker Controls
Easily adjust volume, skip tracks, and change modes directly from the intuitive buttons on the speaker housing.

Maintenance
The GoHawk RD8 speakers are designed to be waterproof and durable. To ensure longevity and optimal performance:
- Regularly clean the speaker surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Ensure all cable connections are secure and free from corrosion.
- If exposed to saltwater, rinse with fresh water and dry thoroughly.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures when not in use.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your GoHawk RD8 speakers, please refer to the following general advice:
- No Power: Check battery connections for tightness and ensure the power cord is correctly plugged into the speaker unit. Verify the vehicle's battery is charged.
- No Sound: Ensure the volume is turned up on both the speaker and your connected device. Check that the correct input mode (Bluetooth, FM, AUX, USB) is selected.
- Bluetooth Disconnection: Ensure your device is within the 50-foot range. Try unpairing and re-pairing the device.
- Poor FM Reception: Ensure the FM antenna is properly connected and positioned for optimal signal.
