1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the operation and maintenance of your DIGITNOW Bluetooth Record Player. This versatile audio system combines a 3-speed turntable, cassette player, AM/FM radio, Bluetooth connectivity, and USB/SD encoding capabilities. Please read this manual thoroughly before use to ensure proper function and to maximize your enjoyment of the product.

4. Product Overview and Controls

Familiarize yourself with the various parts and controls of your record player.

Front Panel Controls:

• POWER/VOL Knob: Turns the unit on/off (long press) and adjusts volume.
• PHONES Jack: 3.5mm output for headphones.
• SOURCE Button: Selects input source (Phono, Bluetooth, Cassette, Radio, USB/SD, AUX).
• REC Button: Initiates recording to USB/SD.
• FOLDER+/- Buttons: Navigates folders on USB/SD.
• LCD Display: Shows current mode, track information, or radio frequency.
• PREV/NEXT Buttons: Skips tracks or tunes radio stations.

5. Setup

5.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove the unit from its packaging. Retain the packaging materials for future transport or storage. Ensure all components listed in Section 3 are present.

5.2 Power Connection

Connect the provided power cable to the AC IN jack on the rear of the unit and then to a standard wall outlet (AC 120V~60Hz).

5.3 Initial Power On

To power on the unit, long press the POWER/VOL knob for approximately 5 seconds. The LCD display will illuminate. To power off, repeat the long press.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Turntable Operation (Phono Mode)

1. Lift the dust cover.
2. Place a vinyl record on the turntable platter. If playing a 45 RPM single, place the included 45 RPM adaptor on the center spindle.
3. Select the appropriate speed (33, 45, or 78 RPM) using the speed selector switch, usually located near the platter.
4. Press the SOURCE button until 'PHONO' is displayed.
5. Gently lift the tone arm using the cue lever and position the stylus over the desired track on the record.
6. Lower the cue lever to slowly drop the stylus onto the record. Playback will begin.
7. Adjust the volume using the POWER/VOL knob.
8. At the end of the record, the turntable may stop automatically (depending on the record). Manually lift the tone arm and return it to its rest.

6.2 Bluetooth Connection

1. Power on the record player.
2. Press the SOURCE button until 'BT' or 'Bluetooth' is displayed on the LCD. The unit will enter pairing mode, indicated by a flashing Bluetooth icon.
3. On your external Bluetooth device (e.g., smartphone, tablet), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
4. Select 'M36' (or similar device name) from the list of found devices to pair.
5. Once paired, the Bluetooth icon on the record player's display will stop flashing. You can now play audio from your external device through the record player's speakers.
6. Adjust volume using the POWER/VOL knob on the unit or your external device.

6.3 Cassette Player

1. Press the SOURCE button until 'TAPE' or 'CASSETTE' is displayed.
2. Insert an audio cassette into the cassette deck slot until it clicks into place.
3. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to begin playback.
4. Use the FAST FORWARD (FF) button to quickly advance the tape.
5. Press the STOP button to stop playback.
6. To eject the tape, press the EJECT button (usually combined with the STOP button).

6.4 AM/FM Radio

1. Press the SOURCE button until 'RADIO' or 'AM/FM' is displayed.
2. Use the TUNING knob to scan for desired radio stations. The frequency will be shown on the LCD display.
3. For optimal FM reception, extend the FM wire antenna located at the back of the unit. For AM reception, rotate the unit for best signal.
4. Adjust the volume using the POWER/VOL knob.

6.5 USB/SD Encoding (Vinyl to MP3)

This feature allows you to convert audio from vinyl records directly to MP3 files on a USB flash drive or SD card without needing a computer.

1. Insert a USB flash drive or SD card into the corresponding slot on the front panel. Ensure it has sufficient free space.
2. Select the desired audio source for recording (e.g., 'PHONO' for vinyl).
3. Start playing the audio source (e.g., place the stylus on the record).
4. Press the REC button. The display may show 'REC' or a recording indicator.
5. To stop recording, press the STOP button. The recorded audio will be saved as an MP3 file on your USB drive or SD card.
6. To play back recorded MP3s, switch the source to 'USB' or 'SD' and use the PREV/NEXT and PLAY/PAUSE buttons.

6.6 AUX Input

Connect external audio devices (e.g., CD player, smartphone via cable) to the AUX IN jack using a 3.5mm audio cable. Select 'AUX' as the source to play audio from the connected device.

6.7 Headphone Output

For private listening, connect standard 3.5mm headphones to the PHONES jack on the front panel. The built-in speakers will be muted automatically.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning the Unit

• Always unplug the unit from the power outlet before cleaning.
• Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents as they may damage the finish.

7.2 Stylus Care

• The stylus (needle) is a delicate component. Handle it with care.
• Clean the stylus periodically using a soft brush, brushing gently from back to front.
• A worn or damaged stylus can harm your records and degrade sound quality. Replace the stylus if it appears damaged or if sound quality diminishes.

7.3 Dust Cover

Keep the dust cover closed when the unit is not in use to protect the turntable and stylus from dust and debris.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your record player, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:

• No Power:
  • Ensure the power cable is securely connected to both the unit and a working wall outlet.
  • Confirm you are performing a long press (approx. 5 seconds) on the POWER/VOL knob to turn the unit on.
• No Sound:
  • Check the volume level on the unit and any connected external devices.
  • Ensure the correct source is selected (e.g., 'PHONO' for records, 'BT' for Bluetooth).
  • If using headphones, ensure they are fully plugged in and functioning.
  • For turntable playback, ensure the stylus guard is removed and the tone arm is properly lowered onto the record.
• Skipping Records:
  • Ensure the record player is on a stable, level surface.
  • Clean the record to remove dust or debris.
  • Check the stylus for damage or excessive wear.
• Bluetooth Pairing Issues:
  • Ensure the record player is in Bluetooth pairing mode ('BT' flashing).
  • Make sure your external device's Bluetooth is enabled and discoverable.
  • Move the devices closer together.
  • Try unpairing and re-pairing the device.
• USB/SD Recording Errors (e.g., 'DECFULL', corrupted files):
  • Ensure the USB drive or SD card has sufficient free space and is formatted correctly (FAT32 is generally recommended).
  • Try using a different USB drive or SD card.
  • Ensure the recording process is followed precisely (start playback, then press REC; press STOP to finish).
• LCD Display Difficult to Read:
  • The display may have an optimal viewing angle. Try adjusting your viewing position.
