6. Maintenance

  • Regular Cleaning: Periodically clean camera lenses and the NVR monitor with a soft, dry cloth to ensure clear image quality.
  • Firmware Updates: Check the manufacturer's website or the Eseecloud app for available firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Connection Check: Regularly inspect all power connections and network cables (if used) to ensure they are secure and free from damage.
  • HDD Health: Monitor the health of the 3TB HDD through the NVR's system settings to prevent data loss.

7. Troubleshooting

  • No Video Feed: Ensure all cameras and the NVR are properly powered. Check that cameras are within range of the NVR's wireless signal.
  • Poor Image Quality: Clean camera lenses. Ensure cameras are not pointing directly into strong light sources or through windows at night (to avoid LED reflection).
  • Remote Access Issues: Verify the NVR is connected to the internet via an Ethernet cable to your router. Check your router's internet connection. Ensure the Eseecloud app is updated and your Cloud ID is correctly entered.
  • False Motion Alarms: Adjust the sensitivity settings for motion detection in the NVR menu. Utilize the customizable detection area feature to exclude irrelevant zones (e.g., trees, public sidewalks).
  • NVR IPC Disconnect: If all cameras disconnect, try rebooting the NVR by powering it off and on. Check for any physical obstructions affecting wireless signal strength.
