6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your extractor hood.

Cleaning the Grease Filters:

  • The metal grease filters should be cleaned regularly (approximately every 2 months, or more frequently with heavy use) to prevent fire hazards and maintain efficiency.
  • To remove, slide the filters out of their slots.
  • Clean the filters by hand in hot soapy water or in a dishwasher on a low-temperature cycle.
  • Ensure filters are completely dry before re-installing.

Replacing Active Carbon Filters (Recirculation Mode Only):

  • If using the hood in recirculation mode, the "LONG LIVE" active carbon filters (model 005LV01002) need periodic replacement or regeneration.
  • Refer to the filter's specific instructions for regeneration or replacement frequency.
  • Always disconnect power before replacing filters.

Cleaning the Hood Surface:

  • Clean the stainless steel (Inox) surfaces with a soft cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner specifically designed for stainless steel.
