GALVAMET support FAQ
Common questions about manuals, registration, and support for this brand.
-
How do I clean the metal grease filters on my Galvamet hood?
Metal grease filters should be washed approximately every 30 hours of operation. They can be cleaned by hand with detergent and hot water or placed in a dishwasher. Ensure they are dry before reinstalling.
-
What does the flashing light on the speed controls mean?
If all speed LEDs light up or flash when the hood is off, it indicates a filter maintenance alert. Typically, a steady light after 30 hours means grease filters need cleaning, and a flashing light after 120 hours means charcoal filters need replacement (for filtering mode).
-
How do I reset the filter maintenance alarm?
To reset the filter alarm, press and hold the specific command button (often the '+' or 'T3' button, depending on the model) while the motor is switched off until the LEDs turn off.
-
Why is there condensation on my hood when using an induction hob?
Induction hobs heat the pot directly without heating the surrounding air, leaving the hood surfaces cold. When hot steam hits the cold hood, it condenses. Galvamet offers specific 'anti-condensation' hoods with heated surfaces or deflectors to prevent this.
