4. Controls and Indicators

4.1 Buttons and Ports:

  • Multi-function Button (MFB): Located on the front face. Used for Power On/Off, Play/Pause, Answer/End Call, Pairing.
  • Volume +/- Buttons: Located on the side. Used for adjusting volume and skipping tracks.
  • 3.5mm Headphone Output: Located at the bottom. Connect your wired headphones here.
  • USB Type-C Charging Port: Located at the bottom. Used for charging the device.
  • Microphone: Integrated for voice calls.
  • Clip: Located on the back for attaching to clothing or bags.

4.2 LED Indicator Status:

The LED indicator provides visual feedback on the device's status.

5. Setup

5.1 Charging the Device:

  1. Connect the USB Type-C cable to the charging port on the BTR1.
  2. Connect the other end of the USB cable to a USB power adapter (5V/1A recommended) or a computer's USB port.
  3. The LED indicator will show a solid red light during charging.
  4. Once fully charged, the LED indicator will turn solid blue (if connected to power) or turn off.

5.2 Pairing with a Bluetooth Device:

  1. Ensure the BTR1 is powered off.
  2. Press and hold the Multi-function Button (MFB) for approximately 5 seconds until the LED indicator flashes blue quickly. This indicates the BTR1 is in pairing mode.
  3. On your Bluetooth device (e.g., smartphone), go to the Bluetooth settings and enable Bluetooth.
  4. Search for available devices. You should see "FiiO BTR1" in the list.
  5. Select "FiiO BTR1" to connect.
  6. Once successfully paired, the LED indicator will flash blue slowly.
  7. Note: The BTR1 will automatically attempt to reconnect to the last paired device when powered on.

5.3 Connecting Headphones:

Plug your wired headphones' 3.5mm jack into the 3.5mm headphone output port on the FiiO BTR1. Ensure the connection is secure.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Power On/Off:

  • Power On: Press and hold the MFB for approximately 3 seconds until the blue LED flashes.
  • Power Off: Press and hold the MFB for approximately 5 seconds until the red LED flashes and then turns off.

6.2 Volume Control:

  • Increase Volume: Short press the Volume + button.
  • Decrease Volume: Short press the Volume - button.

6.3 Music Playback Control:

  • Play/Pause: Short press the MFB.
  • Next Track: Long press the Volume + button.
  • Previous Track: Long press the Volume - button.

6.4 Call Management:

  • Answer Call: Short press the MFB when a call comes in.
  • End Call: Short press the MFB during a call.
  • Reject Call: Long press the MFB when a call comes in.

7. Maintenance and Care

  • Keep the device dry. Do not expose it to moisture or extreme temperatures.
  • Clean the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Avoid dropping or subjecting the device to strong impacts.
  • Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.
  • To preserve battery life, charge the device at least once every three months if not used regularly.
