Chapter 5: Audio
Output Selection
In this menu, you can switch between PO (Phone Out), LO (Line Out), and SPDIF outputs.
SPDIF Out
Choose between DoP and D2P modes. In D2P mode, PCM is output natively, while DSD is converted to PCM. In DoP mode, DSD is output directly (requires amplifier support for DSD to avoid noise).
Gain
Set the headphone output gain to "High" (high volume) or "Low" (low volume) to match different headphones for optimal audio experience.
Over-ear Headphone Mode
If using high-impedance over-ear headphones, select this mode from the drop-down list for an ultimate experience. Attention: When this mode is active, output voltage increases significantly. Avoid connecting high-sensitivity earphones to prevent damage.
Lowpass Filter Mode
The M15 features 6 lowpass filter modes, part of the AK4499 configuration, available for your preference.
Wireless Playback Quality
The M15 defaults to the highest supported Bluetooth codec. You can select a preferred codec from the list. Notice: If experiencing unstable connections, try switching to a lower Bluetooth codec.
Channel Balance
Adjust the balance between left and right channels. 10 settings are available.
ALL To DSD
In this mode, PCM is converted to DSD output for enhanced sound quality. Notice: This mode may increase device heat and slightly reduce battery life.
Adjustable Volume at LO
This setting allows control over the Line Out volume. If not selected, the maximum volume is the default.
AirPlay
To use AirPlay:
- Ensure both the M15 and your Apple device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Click "AirPlay" on the M15.
- On your Apple device, click the AirPlay button and select "FiiO Music Player" to connect.
- Play music on your Apple device to listen on the M15.

Sleep
The screen turns off after a period of inactivity. The sleep time can be set from 15 seconds to 30 minutes.

When the HOLD key is on, all buttons are locked. Configure which buttons can be active when the screen is off in Settings -> General -> HOLD switch setting.
Double Tap to Wakeup
Enable this option to wake the screen by double-tapping when it is in sleep status.
Disable Charging
This function prohibits charging when the M15 is connected to computers or chargers, to protect the battery and reduce heat during operation. Notice: If the M15 is in low battery, this option is automatically canceled to allow charging.
In-vehicle Mode
Connect the M15 to the in-vehicle USB via a USB cable. The M15 turns on automatically and enters the FiiO Music in-vehicle interface when the vehicle is on, and turns off when the vehicle is off.
