Setup Instructions

  1. Unpack the Device: Carefully remove the ThinkCentre M710q Tiny desktop and all accessories from its packaging.
  2. Connect Peripherals:
    • Connect the USB keyboard and mouse to any available USB 3.0 ports on the desktop.
    • Connect your display monitor to one of the DisplayPort connectors on the rear of the desktop.
    • Insert the USB Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Adapter Dongle into an available USB port for wireless connectivity.
  3. Connect Power: Plug the AC adapter into the power adapter connector on the rear of the desktop, then plug the power cord into an electrical outlet.
  4. Power On: Press the power button located on the front of the desktop. The system will boot into Windows 11 Pro.

Important Note on Windows 11: This PC is equipped with TPM 1.2. While Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed, TPM 2.0 is generally recommended for Windows 11. This may mean that the PC might not support all security features or receive the newest updates available for Windows 11.

Operating Instructions

  • Power On/Off: Press the power button to turn the computer on. To turn off, click the Start button in Windows, then select Power > Shut down.
  • Network Connectivity:
    • Wired Connection: Connect an Ethernet cable from your router or modem to the Ethernet connector on the rear of the desktop.
    • Wireless Connection: Ensure the USB Wi-Fi adapter dongle is connected. Windows will automatically detect available Wi-Fi networks. Select your network and enter the password.

  • Audio: Connect headphones or speakers to the headset connector, or a microphone to the microphone connector on the front panel.
