This canopy tent is designed for temporary outdoor use, such as parties, backyard events, camping, and other outdoor activities. It provides shade and light protection from mild weather conditions.

Safety Information

  • Fire Hazard: The polyethylene fabric of this tent is not fireproof. Keep all sources of fire, including open flames, heaters, and cooking equipment, away from the tent fabric.
  • Weather Conditions: This tent is intended for regular use with no rain and very light wind. Do not leave the tent erected overnight or during adverse weather conditions. It cannot withstand winds exceeding 5 MPH or moderate to heavy rain. Severe weather can cause damage to the tent and potential injury.
  • Anchoring: Always secure the tent firmly to the ground using the provided ropes and stakes to ensure stability.
  • Assembly: Assembly requires at least two adults. Ensure all connections are secure before use.
  • Inspection: Regularly inspect the tent for any signs of wear, damage, or loose connections. Do not use if damaged.

Setup Instructions

Assembly is straightforward and requires no additional tools. It is recommended to have at least two people for efficient setup.

  1. Assemble the Base Frame: Connect the poles using the appropriate connectors to form the rectangular base of the tent. The video demonstrates connecting accessories 3-4-3 (0:04-0:11) and 3-7-3 (0:14-0:22) to form the side lengths. Connect the four sides using the middle connectors and plastic angle connectors (0:23-0:45).
  2. Assemble the Roof Frame: Connect the roof support poles and top connectors. The video shows connecting the top middle connectors (0:46-1:10) and top connectors (1:11-1:36) to create the peaked roof structure.
  3. Attach Legs: Connect the leg poles (accessory 5) to the base frame using the plastic angle connectors (1:37-1:58).
  4. Drape the Roof Fabric: Carefully drape the roof fabric over the assembled frame (1:59-2:06). Ensure it is centered and covers the entire frame.
  5. Secure the Roof Fabric: Use the integrated Velcro straps to secure the roof fabric to the frame poles (2:48-2:49).
  6. Install Sidewalls: Attach the sidewalls to the tent frame. The video shows installing the cloth and fixing it with Velcro (2:50-3:13).

Operating Instructions

The FDW 10'x20' Outdoor Canopy Tent is designed for versatility and ease of use.

  • Removable Sidewalls: The tent features removable sidewalls with clear windows. These can be easily attached or removed using the hook and loop fasteners to adjust ventilation and light as needed. Six sidewalls with clear windows provide maximum light and unobstructed viewing, while all eight sidewalls are removable to boost air circulation.
  • Entry/Exit: The tent design allows for flexible entry and exit points by adjusting the sidewalls.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Clean the polyethylene fabric with mild soap and water. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as this can damage the material. Allow the fabric to dry completely before storage to prevent mildew.
  • Storage: Disassemble the tent and store all components in a dry, cool place when not in use. This will prolong the lifespan of the product. Note that a carrying bag is not included.
  • Frame Care: The rust and corrosion-resistant powder-coated steel framework should be wiped clean as needed. Inspect poles and connectors for any damage before each use.

Troubleshooting

  • Tent Instability: Ensure all poles are fully inserted into their connectors and secured. Verify that the tent is properly anchored to the ground with all ropes and stakes. In windy conditions, additional weights (e.g., sandbags) may be necessary.
  • Water Accumulation on Roof: Ensure the roof fabric is taut and properly stretched over the frame to prevent water from pooling. Adjust the frame if necessary to maintain proper tension and slope.
  • Difficulty with Assembly: Refer to the assembly video and instructions. Ensure you are using the correct poles and connectors for each step. Sometimes, a slight adjustment or re-alignment of poles can resolve fitting issues.
