Setup
1. Battery Installation
The timer operates on one 3V CR2032 battery, which is typically included. If the display is blank or dim, the battery may need to be replaced.
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the device.
- Use a small screwdriver or coin to open the battery cover.
- Insert the CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
- Securely close the battery cover.
2. Placement Options
The timer offers flexible placement options:
- Magnetic Attachment: Use the integrated magnet on the back to attach the timer to metallic surfaces like refrigerators or whiteboards.
- Tabletop Stand: Fold out the stand on the back of the timer for stable placement on flat surfaces.
- Hanging: Utilize the hanging hook for suspension.
Operating Instructions
1. Setting the Timer
To set a countdown time:
- Press the 10M, 5M, 1M, and 10s buttons to set the desired time. Each press adds the corresponding time increment.
- The maximum settable time is 99 minutes and 50 seconds.
- If you make a mistake, press the RESET button to clear the time and start over.
2. Starting and Stopping the Timer
- Once the desired time is set, press the START/STOP button to begin the countdown.
- To pause the countdown, press the START/STOP button again.
- To resume, press START/STOP once more.
- To stop the timer and clear the display, press the RESET button.
3. Alarm Function
When the countdown reaches zero, an extra strong alarm will sound (if not muted) and/or a flashing LED light will activate to indicate that the time has elapsed. The timer will then automatically start counting up, allowing you to track elapsed time beyond the set duration.
4. Mute Function
The device features a switch on the side to toggle between audible alarm and silent (visual only) alarm mode. Move the switch to the desired position.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the timer with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water.
- Battery Replacement: Replace the CR2032 battery when the display becomes dim or unresponsive. Dispose of used batteries responsibly.
- Storage: Store the timer in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.
Troubleshooting
- No display or dim display:
- Check if the battery is correctly installed.
- Replace the CR2032 battery with a new one.
- Timer not starting:
- Ensure a time has been set using the minute/second buttons.
- Press the START/STOP button firmly.
- No alarm sound:
- Check the mute switch on the side of the device. Ensure it is not in the silent position.
- Verify battery level.
