Introduction

The Black Diamond Spot Headlamp is a full-featured, waterproof headlamp designed for various outdoor activities. Setup

1. Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the headlamp unit.
2. Gently unclip the compartment cover to open it.
3. Insert three AAA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
4. Close the compartment cover securely until it snaps into place, ensuring a waterproof seal.

2. Headband Adjustment

• Place the headlamp on your head.
• Adjust the elastic headband using the sliders on either side to achieve a comfortable and secure fit. The headband should be snug but not too tight.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off

• To turn the headlamp ON, press the main power button (larger button on top).
• To turn the headlamp OFF, press the main power button again.

2. Brightness Adjustment

• While the headlamp is ON, press the smaller button next to the main power button to cycle through different brightness levels for the white LED.
• The headlamp features a Brightness Memory function, allowing it to turn on and off at a chosen brightness level without reverting to full power.

3. Red Night-Vision Mode

• To activate the red night-vision mode, press and hold the smaller button for a few seconds while the headlamp is off.
• This mode is ideal for preserving night vision and for close-range tasks without disturbing others.

4. PowerTap Technology

• The PowerTap Technology allows for instant transitioning between full and dimmed power. Simply tap the side of the headlamp casing to switch between maximum and dimmed brightness.

5. Lock Mode

• To prevent accidental activation and conserve battery life during transport, engage the lock mode. Refer to the quick start guide for specific instructions on activating and deactivating the lock mode.

6. Adjusting Beam Angle

• The headlamp unit can be tilted up or down to direct the light precisely where needed, optimizing visibility for various activities.

Maintenance

1. Battery Replacement

• When the battery indicator lights (three dots on the side) show low power, replace all three AAA batteries simultaneously.

2. Cleaning

• Wipe the headlamp casing and lens with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.

3. Water Resistance

Troubleshooting

• Dim or flickering light: Replace batteries. Ensure battery contacts are clean and free of corrosion.
• Water ingress: Ensure the battery compartment is properly sealed. If water has entered, remove batteries, allow to dry completely, and check seals for damage.
