Setup

1. Charging the Headphones

Before initial use, fully charge your headphones. The Backbeat 505 Series offers up to 18 hours of wireless listening on a single charge. DeepSleep mode helps conserve power when not in use.

• Connect the provided USB charging cable to the charging port on the headphone.
• Connect the other end of the USB cable to a compatible USB power source.
• The LED indicator will show charging status and turn off when fully charged.

2. Bluetooth Pairing

To connect your headphones to a device via Bluetooth:

• Ensure your headphones are powered off.
• Press and hold the power/Bluetooth button until the LED indicator flashes red and blue, indicating pairing mode.
• On your device (smartphone, tablet, computer), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
• Select "Plantronics Backbeat 505" from the list.
• Once connected, the LED indicator will typically show a solid blue light.

Operating Instructions

1. Headphone Controls

The headphones feature intuitive on-ear controls for easy management of your audio and calls.

• Volume Up/Down: Use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust the listening volume.
• Play/Pause/Call Management: The central button (often between +/-) controls playback (play/pause) and call functions (answer/end calls).
• Track Skip: Depending on the model, long-pressing the volume buttons or dedicated buttons may skip tracks forward or backward.
• Power On/Off: Press and hold the power button for a few seconds.

2. Wearing the Headphones

• Connect one end of the 3.5mm audio cable to the headphone's audio jack.

1. Cleaning

• Wipe the earcups and headband with a soft, damp cloth.

2. Storage

Troubleshooting

1. No Power

• Ensure the headphones are fully charged. Connect to a power source and check the LED indicator.

2. Cannot Pair via Bluetooth

• Make sure the headphones are in pairing mode (LED flashing red/blue).
• Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device and it is within range (up to 32.8 ft).
• Try forgetting the device on your phone's Bluetooth settings and re-pairing.

3. Poor Audio Quality

• Check the volume levels on both the headphones and your connected device.
• Ensure there are no obstructions between your device and the headphones.
