1. Introduction

2. Safety Instructions

4. Setup

4.1 Power Connection

  1. Ensure the power switch on the rear panel of the B207MP3 is in the "OFF" position.
  2. Connect the supplied power cable to the AC IN socket on the rear panel of the B207MP3.
  3. Plug the other end of the power cable into a suitable AC power outlet.

4.2 Microphone Connection

  1. Connect one end of the 15' XLR microphone cable to the Behringer ULTRAVOICE XM8500 microphone.
  2. Connect the other end of the XLR microphone cable to one of the MIC/LINE inputs (e.g., MIC/LINE 1) on the front panel of the B207MP3.
  3. If using a condenser microphone (not included in this bundle), ensure the +48V Phantom Power switch is engaged if required by the microphone. The XM8500 is a dynamic microphone and does not require phantom power.

4.3 Audio Source Connection (Optional)

The B207MP3 features multiple input options:

  • CD Input: Use the RCA inputs for connecting CD players, media players, or other stereo line-level sources.
  • MIC/LINE Inputs (Channels 1-3): These inputs accept XLR or 1/4" TRS/TS connectors for microphones or line-level instruments.
  • USB Input: For MP3 playback from a USB drive.

5. Operating

5.1 Powering On/Off

  1. Before powering on, ensure all level controls (LEVEL 1-4, MAIN LEVEL) are set to their minimum position.
  2. Flip the POWER switch on the rear panel to the "ON" position. The power indicator on the front panel will illuminate.
  3. To power off, first reduce all levels to minimum, then flip the POWER switch to "OFF".

  5. The REPEAT button cycles through repeat modes (e.g., repeat one, repeat all).
  6. The FOLDER button allows navigation through folders on the USB drive.

5.4 Adjusting Levels

  1. Start with all LEVEL controls and the MAIN LEVEL control at their minimum.
  2. Gradually increase the LEVEL control for the channel you are using (e.g., MIC/LINE 1 for the microphone) until you hear sound.
  3. Observe the CLIP indicator. If it illuminates frequently, reduce the channel's LEVEL to prevent distortion.
