Setup and Installation

Step 1: Prepare for Installation

Step 2: Mount the Fixture Base

3. Position the fixture: Align the fixture base with the junction box in the ceiling.
4. Secure the base: Use the provided mounting screws to securely attach the fixture base to the junction box. Ensure the fixture is flush against the ceiling.

Step 3: Wire the Fixture

5. Connect wires:
   • Connect the black wire from the fixture to the black (hot) wire from the junction box using a wire nut.
   • Connect the white wire from the fixture to the white (neutral) wire from the junction box using a wire nut.
   • Connect the ground wire from the fixture (if present, typically bare copper or green) to the ground wire from the junction box.
   Ensure all wire nuts are securely tightened and no bare wire is exposed.

Step 4: Complete Installation

6. Tuck wires: Carefully tuck all wires into the junction box.
7. Attach diffuser: Secure the light diffuser or cover to the fixture base according to the manufacturer's design (e.g., twist-lock or snap-on).
8. Restore power: Turn the power back on at the circuit breaker or fuse box.
9. Test fixture: Turn on the light switch to ensure the fixture operates correctly.
