Important Safety Instructions

Before First Use
- Unpack the appliance and all accessories. Remove all packaging materials.
- Wash the inner pot, steaming tray, glass lid, measuring cup, and rice spoon in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
- Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water.
- Ensure all parts are dry before assembly and use.
Operation
Cooking Rice

- Measure the desired amount of rice using the provided measuring cup. One cup of raw rice typically yields about 2-3 cups of cooked rice. The maximum capacity is 625g of rice.
- Rinse the rice thoroughly under cold water until the water runs clear.
- Place the rinsed rice into the non-stick inner pot.
- Add the appropriate amount of water. A common ratio is 1:1.5 (1 cup rice to 1.5 cups water), but this may vary depending on the type of rice. Refer to rice packaging for specific recommendations.
- Place the inner pot into the main unit, ensuring it sits properly on the heating element.
- Cover the pot with the glass lid. Ensure the steam vent is clear.
- Plug the detachable power cord into the appliance, then into a wall outlet. The WARM indicator light will illuminate.
- Press the COOK switch down. The COOK indicator light (red) will illuminate, indicating that cooking has started.
- Once the rice is cooked, the appliance will automatically switch to the WARM function, and the WARM indicator light (orange) will illuminate.
- Allow the rice to rest on WARM for 5-10 minutes before serving for best results.
- Unplug the appliance after serving.
Steaming Food

- Add 1-2 cups of water to the inner pot. Do not add too much water, as it should not touch the steaming tray.
- Place the steaming tray into the inner pot.
- Arrange your food (vegetables, fish, dumplings, etc.) evenly in the steaming tray.
- Cover with the glass lid.
- Plug the detachable power cord into the appliance, then into a wall outlet. The WARM indicator light will illuminate.
- Press the COOK switch down. The COOK indicator light (red) will illuminate, and steaming will begin.
- Steam until food is cooked to your desired tenderness. Cooking times vary based on food type and quantity.
- Once steaming is complete, manually switch the appliance to WARM or unplug it.
- Carefully remove the lid, avoiding steam burns. Use oven mitts if necessary.
- Unplug the appliance after use.
Keep Warm Function

The BEPER 90.550 automatically switches to the WARM function once cooking is complete. The orange WARM indicator light will be illuminated. This function keeps your food at an optimal serving temperature without overcooking. Do not keep food on WARM for extended periods (more than a few hours) to maintain food quality and safety.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Proper cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your appliance.
- Always unplug the appliance from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Inner Pot and Steaming Tray: These parts are removable and should be washed by hand with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads, as they can damage the non-stick coating.
- Glass Lid: Wash the glass lid by hand with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry.
- Main Unit: Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid. Ensure no water enters the electrical components.
- Heating Plate: If food particles are stuck to the heating plate, gently wipe them off with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive materials.
- Storage: Store the appliance in a dry place when not in use.
