Operation
First Use
- Remove all packaging materials and check that all components and accessories are in good condition.
- Wash the rice pot, steamer tray, measuring cup, and spatula with warm water and dishwashing detergent. Rinse thoroughly and dry well.
Rice Cooking
- Place the rice cooker on a flat, dry, moisture- and heat-resistant surface, at a sufficient distance from walls or furniture.
- Use the provided measuring cup to measure the amount of rice. (A full cup of rice ≈ 150g ≈ 2/3 portions).
- Tip: For every cup of rice, use 1.5 cups of water (or broth).
- Rinse the rice thoroughly before placing it in the rice pot.
- Pour water (or broth) into the rice pot.
- Caution: Do not fill above the maximum (5 cups) or below the minimum (2 cups) level.
- Verify that the condensation collection tray is inserted into its place.
- Ensure the inside of the rice cooker and the outside of the rice pot are dry.
- Place the rice pot into the rice cooker and close the lid.
- Connect the female plug of the power cord to the cord inlet of the rice cooker. Insert the male plug into the power outlet.
- Set the On/Off switch to the "O" position. The "WARM" indicator light will illuminate.
- For safety reasons, ensure that the power cord does not hang over the edge of the unit.
- Press down the cooking start button. The "COOK" indicator light will turn on, and the rice cooker will start working.
- After a few minutes, the water will start to boil and steam will be emitted from the steam vent.
- Caution: Never cover the steam vent during operation. Do not bring any part of your body near the vent. Risk of burns.
- At the end of cooking, the start button will automatically click into keep warm mode, and the "WARM" indicator light will turn on.
- To obtain fluffy white rice, wait another 5-10 minutes before lifting the lid, stirring the rice with the provided spatula, and serving.
- Do not use metal spoons in the rice pot, as they may damage the non-stick coating.
- Turn off the switch and unplug the rice cooker. Allow it to cool down. Empty the condensation tray before cleaning and storing.
- Use the rice cooker only for preparing food; not for other purposes. It is suitable for cooking rice, cereals, and couscous with fast cooking. However, it is not suitable for cooking rice or cereal varieties that require very long cooking times.
- Caution! Be very careful of escaping hot steam. The rice cooker is not suitable for preparing rice with milk; the milk may leak out or stick and burn.
- Note: The rice cooker has a pressure sensor. The start button will not work if the rice pot is not inserted or the lid is not closed. Always check that the "COOK" indicator light turns on after pressing the start button. Rice is a natural product, and the amount of water needed for cooking will vary depending on the type of rice and personal preference.
