Setup

1. Charging and Inserting the Battery

1. Insert the EN-EL14a Rechargeable Lithium-ion Battery into the MH-24 Quick Charger.
2. Plug the charger into a power outlet. The charging lamp will blink while charging and turn off when complete.
3. Once charged, open the battery chamber cover on the bottom of the camera and insert the battery, ensuring it clicks into place. Close the cover.

2. Attaching a Lens

1. Remove the body cap from the camera and the rear lens cap from the lens.
2. Align the mounting mark on the lens with the mounting mark on the camera body.
3. Rotate the lens counter-clockwise until it clicks into place.
4. Attach the front lens cap to protect the lens when not in use.

3. Inserting a Memory Card

• Open the memory card slot cover on the side of the camera.
• Insert an SD, SDHC, or SDXC memory card (up to 256 GB supported) with the label facing the front of the camera until it clicks.
• Close the memory card slot cover.

4. Attaching the Camera Strap

Thread the AN-DC3 Camera Strap through the strap eyelets on both sides of the camera body, ensuring it is securely fastened to prevent accidental drops.

Operating the Camera

Powering On and Basic Controls
