4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Quadrocopter Battery

  1. Remove the battery pack from the quadrocopter.
  2. Connect the battery pack to the USB charging cable.
  3. Plug the USB charging cable into a suitable USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter).
  4. The charging indicator light on the cable will show the charging status (refer to the cable's specific instructions for light indications).
  5. Once fully charged, disconnect the battery from the cable and the power source.

4.2 Installing Transmitter Batteries

The transmitter requires 4 x AAA 1.5V batteries (not included).

  1. Open the battery compartment on the back of the transmitter.
  2. Insert 4 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Close the battery compartment securely.

4.3 Attaching Propellers and Guards

Ensure propellers are securely attached to their respective motor shafts. If propeller guards are included, attach them for added protection.

4.4 Installing the Micro SD Card

Insert the provided 4 GB Micro SD card into the camera slot on the quadrocopter. Ensure it is inserted correctly until it clicks into place.

4.5 Pairing the Quadrocopter and Transmitter

  1. Place the quadrocopter on a flat, level surface.
  2. Turn on the quadrocopter. The LED lights will flash.
  3. Turn on the transmitter.
  4. Move the left joystick (throttle) fully up, then fully down. The transmitter will beep, and the quadrocopter's LED lights will become solid, indicating successful pairing.

4.6 Smartphone App Connection (FPV)

  1. Download the official JAMARA FPV app from your smartphone's app store (available on App Store and Google Play).
  2. Turn on the quadrocopter.
  3. On your smartphone, go to Wi-Fi settings and connect to the quadrocopter's Wi-Fi network (usually named 'JAMARA_FPV_XXXX').
  4. Open the JAMARA FPV app. You should see a live video feed from the quadrocopter's camera.
  5. Mount your smartphone onto the transmitter's holder.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Flight Controls

Familiarize yourself with the transmitter's joysticks and buttons:

  • Left Joystick (Throttle/Yaw):
    • Up/Down: Controls altitude (throttle).
    • Left/Right: Controls yaw (rotation).
  • Right Joystick (Pitch/Roll):
    • Up/Down: Controls pitch (forward/backward movement).
    • Left/Right: Controls roll (sideways movement).
  • Trim Buttons: Used to fine-tune the quadrocopter's stability if it drifts in any direction.

5.2 Take-off and Landing

  • Manual Take-off: After pairing, slowly push the left joystick (throttle) upwards to lift off.
  • Automatic Take-off: Press the dedicated one-button take-off button on the transmitter (refer to transmitter diagram in full manual). The quadrocopter will automatically ascend to a stable altitude.
  • Manual Landing: Slowly pull the left joystick (throttle) downwards until the quadrocopter lands.
  • Automatic Landing: Press the dedicated one-button landing button. The quadrocopter will automatically descend and land.

5.3 Special Functions

  • Altitude Hold Adjustment (AHA): Once airborne, the quadrocopter will automatically maintain its current altitude when the throttle stick is centered.
  • 360° Flip-Jump: While flying, press the flip button (refer to transmitter diagram) and then move the right joystick in the desired flip direction.
  • Flight Modes (Slow, Medium, Fast): Use the speed selection button (refer to transmitter diagram) to cycle through the three flight modes.
  • Turbo Function: Activate the turbo button for a temporary increase in speed.
  • Compass Function (AHP+): This function can be activated or deactivated via the radio to assist with directional control.

5.4 Camera Operation (Photo/Video)

With the Micro SD card inserted and the FPV app connected:

  • Taking Photos: Press the photo button on the transmitter or within the app.
  • Recording Video: Press the video button on the transmitter or within the app to start/stop recording.
  • Recorded media is saved to the Micro SD card. You can also view live FPV footage on your smartphone.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

  • Wipe the quadrocopter and transmitter with a soft, dry cloth after each use.
  • Do not use water or chemical cleaners.

6.2 Propeller Inspection

  • Regularly check propellers for any damage (cracks, bends).
  • Replace damaged propellers immediately using the provided spare parts.

6.3 Battery Care
