3.2 Initial Charging
Before first use, fully charge the robot for 24 hours. Connect the power adapter to the charging dock and plug it into a wall outlet. Place the robot onto the charging dock, ensuring the charging contacts align. The indicator light on the robot will show charging status.
3.3 Charging Dock Placement
Place the charging dock against a wall in an open, uncluttered area. Ensure there is at least 1 meter (3 feet) of clear space on both sides of the dock and 2 meters (6 feet) in front of it. This allows the robot to easily locate and return to the dock for charging.

3.4 Electrowall Setup
The Electrowall creates an invisible barrier to restrict the robot to specific areas. Insert batteries into the Electrowall device. Place the Electrowall on the floor at the entrance of the area you wish to block. Ensure the infrared beam is not obstructed.

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your ILIFE A6.
5.1 Emptying the Dustbin
It is recommended to empty the dustbin after each cleaning cycle. To do this, open the top cover of the robot, remove the dustbin, and dispose of the collected debris. Be careful when removing the dustbin to avoid spilling contents.
5.2 Cleaning Filters
Clean the high-efficiency filters weekly. Tap them gently to remove dust or use the provided cleaning tool. Do not wash the filters with water unless specified in the full manual.
5.3 Cleaning Brushes and Rollers
Regularly check and clean the side brushes and main roller brush for tangled hair or debris. Use the cleaning tool to cut and remove any wrapped hair. Ensure brushes spin freely after cleaning.
5.4 General Cleaning
Wipe the exterior of the robot and its sensors with a soft, dry cloth. Keep the charging contacts on both the robot and the dock clean.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your ILIFE A6, refer to the following common solutions:
- Robot not returning to charging dock: Ensure the charging dock is placed in an open area with sufficient clearance (1m on sides, 2m in front). Check if the power adapter is securely connected.
- Robot getting stuck frequently: Clear obstacles like loose cables, small rugs, or furniture that the robot might get caught on. Use the Electrowall to block problematic areas.
- Dustbin not collecting dirt: Check if the dustbin is properly inserted and not full. Clean the filters and brushes as per maintenance instructions.
- Reduced suction power: Clean or replace the high-efficiency filter. Ensure the main brush and side brushes are free of debris.
- Unusual noises: Check for any foreign objects caught in the brushes or wheels. Clean all moving parts thoroughly.
For persistent issues, consult the comprehensive troubleshooting section in the full user manual or contact customer support.
