- Strangulation Hazard: Children have been strangled in cords. Keep this cord out of the reach of children (more than 3 feet / 0.9 meters away). Never place camera or cords within 3 feet of a crib or playpen. Secure cords to a wall or floor using the provided safety clips.
- Choking Hazard: This product contains small parts. Keep out of reach of children.
- Water and Moisture: Do not use the monitor or camera near water (e.g., bathtub, sink, laundry tub) or expose to dripping or splashing water.
- Heat Sources: Keep the monitor and camera away from heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other heat-producing appliances.
- Ventilation: Do not block any ventilation openings. Ensure proper airflow around the units.
- Power Cords: Use only the AC adapters provided. Do not use extension cords. Inspect cords for damage regularly.
- Battery Safety: The parent unit contains a rechargeable battery. Do not attempt to replace it yourself. Dispose of batteries properly.
- Interference: This product operates on a 2.4 GHz frequency. Be aware that other 2.4 GHz devices may cause interference.

Product Overview
The Summer Infant Wide View 2.0 Baby Video Monitor system consists of a Parent Unit (monitor) and a Camera Unit (camera).
Parent Unit
The Parent Unit features a 5-inch high-resolution color LCD display, allowing you to view your baby. It includes controls for volume, brightness, digital zoom, and two-way talk. The unit is portable and powered by a rechargeable battery.

Camera Unit
The Camera Unit features a wide-angle lens, automatic black and white night vision, and a remote-controlled nightlight. It transmits video and audio to the Parent Unit.
Setup
1. Charging the Parent Unit
- Connect one of the AC adapters to the Parent Unit and plug it into a standard electrical outlet.
- Charge the Parent Unit for at least 6 hours before initial use to ensure optimal battery performance. The battery provides approximately 6 hours of continuous use on a full charge.
2. Positioning the Camera Unit
- Place the Camera Unit on a flat surface or mount it to a wall using the provided hardware.
- Ensure the camera is positioned at least 3 feet (0.9 meters) away from the crib or playpen to prevent cord strangulation hazards.
- Adjust the camera angle to achieve the desired view of your baby.

3. Powering the Camera Unit
- Connect the second AC adapter to the Camera Unit and plug it into a standard electrical outlet.
- The camera unit requires continuous power to operate.
4. Initial Pairing
The Parent Unit and Camera Unit are pre-paired at the factory. They should automatically connect when both units are powered on and within range. If connection issues occur, refer to the Troubleshooting section for re-pairing instructions.
Operating the Monitor
Power On/Off
Press and hold the Power button on the Parent Unit to turn it on or off.
Volume Control
Use the volume buttons on the Parent Unit to adjust the audio level from the camera.
Brightness Control
Adjust the screen brightness on the Parent Unit for optimal viewing in different lighting conditions.
Digital Zoom
The Parent Unit features digital zoom to get a closer look at your baby. Press the dedicated zoom button to activate and cycle through zoom levels.

Two-Way Talk
Press and hold the Talk button on the Parent Unit to speak to your baby through the camera unit. Release the button to hear your baby.

Night Vision
The camera automatically switches to black and white night vision in low-light conditions, allowing you to see your baby clearly without disturbing them.

Nightlight
The Camera Unit includes a remote-controlled nightlight. Use the dedicated button on the Parent Unit to turn the nightlight on or off.

Wide Angle View
The camera's wide-angle lens provides a broader view of the room, allowing you to see more of your baby's surroundings.

Multi-Camera Use (Expandable System)
The system is expandable, allowing you to add up to 3 additional cameras (sold separately) to monitor multiple children or rooms. The Parent Unit can scan between cameras for continuous monitoring.

Maintenance
Cleaning
Wipe clean with a dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure units are unplugged before cleaning.
Battery Care (Parent Unit)
To prolong battery life, avoid overcharging by unplugging the Parent Unit once fully charged if not in continuous use. Do not expose the battery to extreme temperatures.
Troubleshooting
- No Picture/Sound: Ensure both the Parent Unit and Camera Unit are powered on and plugged into working outlets. Check that the units are within range (up to 800 ft).
- Poor Picture Quality: Adjust the Parent Unit's brightness. Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from obstructions. Move the camera closer to the Parent Unit if experiencing signal interference.
- Battery Not Holding Charge: Ensure the Parent Unit is fully charged for at least 6 hours. If battery life significantly degrades, contact customer support for potential battery replacement options.
- Interference: Move the monitor system away from other electronic devices that operate on 2.4 GHz frequency (e.g., Wi-Fi routers, cordless phones, microwaves).
- Re-pairing Camera: If the connection is lost, consult the full product manual for specific re-pairing instructions, usually involving a button on both units.
