  3. Connect hot and cold water lines to the valve body.
  4. Install the shower arm and showerhead.

Operating Instructions

The Moen T2123 features a single-handle design for controlling both water temperature and flow. Rotate the handle to adjust temperature. The Posi-Temp pressure-balancing valve maintains water temperature within ±3°F, protecting against sudden temperature changes caused by other water usage in the home.

  • To Turn On/Off: Rotate the handle from the 'Off' position to the desired flow.
  • To Adjust Temperature: Rotate the handle counter-clockwise for warmer water and clockwise for cooler water.
  • The showerhead provides a maximum flow rate of 1.75 gallons per minute (gpm) at 80 psi.

Maintenance

To maintain the chrome finish, clean with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, solvents, or polishing agents, as these can damage the finish. Regularly check for leaks and ensure all connections are tight. Periodically clean the showerhead nozzles to prevent mineral buildup and maintain optimal spray performance.

Troubleshooting

  • Low Water Flow: Check for debris or mineral buildup in the showerhead or aerator. Ensure water supply valves are fully open.
  • Temperature Fluctuations: Verify the Posi-Temp valve is correctly installed and functioning. Ensure hot and cold water supplies are adequately balanced and that the temperature limit stop is set correctly.
  • Leaks: Inspect all connections for tightness. Replace worn washers or O-rings if necessary. If leaks persist from the handle area, the valve cartridge may need replacement.
