Setup

Battery Installation

Your MARATHON ST083013 stopwatch comes with a CR2032 battery pre-installed. If the LCD screen dims or the device does not power on, the battery may need replacement.

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the stopwatch.
2. Using a small Phillips head screwdriver, carefully remove the screws securing the battery cover.
3. Gently remove the old CR2032 battery.
4. Insert a new CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
5. Replace the battery cover and secure it with the screws.

Attaching the Lanyard

The included 46-inch lanyard can be attached to the small loop at the bottom of the stopwatch for convenient carrying.

1. Thread the thin loop of the lanyard through the small hole at the bottom of the stopwatch.
2. Pass the main body of the lanyard through the thin loop and pull to secure.

Operating Instructions

The MARATHON ST083013 features three primary buttons: MODE, START/STOP, and SPLIT/RESET.

Time and Date Setting

1. From the normal time display, press the MODE button repeatedly until the time setting mode is activated (usually indicated by flashing digits).
2. Use the START/STOP button to adjust the flashing digit (hours, minutes, seconds, month, date, day).
3. Press the SPLIT/RESET button to move to the next digit or setting.
4. Once all settings are complete, press MODE to exit the setting mode.

Using the Stopwatch Function

1. From the normal time display, press the MODE button to cycle to the stopwatch mode (usually indicated by "00:00:00" or similar).
2. Press START/STOP to begin timing.
3. To record a split time (lap time) while timing continues, press SPLIT/RESET. The display will momentarily show the split time, then return to the running total.
