Setup
Battery Installation
Your MARATHON ST083013 stopwatch comes with a CR2032 battery pre-installed. If the LCD screen dims or the device does not power on, the battery may need replacement.
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the stopwatch.
- Using a small Phillips head screwdriver, carefully remove the screws securing the battery cover.
- Gently remove the old CR2032 battery.
- Insert a new CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
- Replace the battery cover and secure it with the screws.

Attaching the Lanyard
The included 46-inch lanyard can be attached to the small loop at the bottom of the stopwatch for convenient carrying.
- Thread the thin loop of the lanyard through the small hole at the bottom of the stopwatch.
- Pass the main body of the lanyard through the thin loop and pull to secure.
Operating Instructions
The MARATHON ST083013 features three primary buttons: MODE, START/STOP, and SPLIT/RESET.
Time and Date Setting
- From the normal time display, press the MODE button repeatedly until the time setting mode is activated (usually indicated by flashing digits).
- Use the START/STOP button to adjust the flashing digit (hours, minutes, seconds, month, date, day).
- Press the SPLIT/RESET button to move to the next digit or setting.
- Once all settings are complete, press MODE to exit the setting mode.
Using the Stopwatch Function
- From the normal time display, press the MODE button to cycle to the stopwatch mode (usually indicated by "00:00:00" or similar).
- Press START/STOP to begin timing.
- To record a split time (lap time) while timing continues, press SPLIT/RESET. The display will momentarily show the split time, then return to the running total.
